We enjoyed the chat, your beautiful dog, watching rabbits play in the sunset, and the fresh eggs for breakfast.
The amenities are plentiful and clean.
We also appreciated the supplied BBQ.

Absolutely loved our stay at Behind the Hedge. The host Peter was lovely and the gardens are stunning. The others guests staying at the same time were lovely people as well. The amenities were great. It was close to everything so was a great base to go out from. Would definitely stay there if we are down this way again as had a great time.

We adored the beautiful grounds! The autumn leaves made it so picturesque. Peter checked in with us each day with a yarn and gave us recommendations only a local would know. The children loved their dog and exploring the gardens! Facilities were clean and well maintained. Bonus camp kitchens were kitted out if you forgot something and a refrigerator a blessing when you only have an ice box. Fresh eggs for breakfast each morning and logs for a burner in the evening. I’d rather not say how wonderful this was as we’d like to keep it all to ourselves. Wink. Perfection!

We loved every minute of our 3 night stay at behind the hedge.. Peter and Sandy were the most beautiful hosts, beautiful gardens, just all round picturesque. We would highly recommend

Great place to camp close to the town of Tenterfield. The amenities are excellent with a private shower and equipped kitchen area. The garden is beautiful and it is lovely to see the happy chooks and enjoy their eggs.

Peter was the perfect host! So welcoming and accommodating - even offering us a beer upon arrival. The toilet and shower facilities are spotless and a really powerful shower. It was the perfect pit stop.

Great location and facilities. Host Peter is very welcoming and provided us with a tour of his fantastic gardens. Would have loved to have spent more time there. There’s beautiful cottage for non campers or motor home travellers.

Amazing vegetable garden and amenities. Close to Tenterfield. Only a few sites so no overcrowding. Some neighbourhood quad bike action stirring up dust and noise. Otherwise very peaceful. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Dog lovers, look no further. Peter and his wife are dog people and made our puppy as welcome as ourselves. The whole area was secured and our 16month BC welcome to explore, roam and play with their own beautiful spaniel.
The facilities are terrific, the area peaceful, tranquil and fresh. The gardens are stunning and worth a visit in their own right.
To have power, water and ammenities close to our site was a wonderful thing.
There is a common area for those wishing to socialise with fellow guests.
We will return and stay longer!

Peter's site, behind the hedge is a beautiful, fully catered for site. You can tell he spends alot of time and care on his property and his guests. This made our entire trip, we parked the RV up, he has power and all the amenities ready and waiting including a chicken experience and some eggs to cook the next morning. It was perfect. Highly recommend !

Behind the Hedge, and what a beautiful hedge it is, the most beautiful CP we have ever stayed in!. Sandy & Steve made us so welcome, they take great care to ensure the mix of guests and pets work together, so all enjoy the experience.
We camped next to the vege garden (which you’re more than welcome to help yourself from along with fresh eggs)!
The facilities supplied us with everything we needed - grassed areas, camp kitchen, shower, 3 toilets (including one disabled) as well as a laundry!
The garden is a paradise, with so many areas to chill in. Happy hour starts at 4pm if you’d like to join. In.
Only a 1.3km walk to town for a morning coffee, and so much to see in the area! We’ll certainly be repeat customers!

We absolutely loved our stay at Behind the Hedge. The site was perfect. It was so good being close to the chickens so we could get fresh eggs for breakfast. The gardens are amazing. And the hosts, Peter and Sandy, were so friendly. We really enjoyed hearing the stories about the gardens. Thanks so much for a perfect stay. 10/10. We highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay with Peter and Sandy. They are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Their extensive garden is stunning and the shower and toilets were very clean.
We felt like family. Behind the Hedge is an easy walk to town also so you can immerse yourself in all the fascinating history of Tenterfield. We miss you already. 😀
