PLEASE NOTE ** Barachi is located at the rear of our property and is only accessible by 4WD.** If you are a keen hiker or you are fit and adventurous, you are welcome to travel by foot by hiking approximately 1k down hill to Barachi (it's all up hill on the way back :-)). You'll only need to carry your sleeping bags and food as everything else is provided. Please note: Peter is happy to take your gear down and back on the Quad bike - simply select Hikers Assistance when booking. Our rustic little shack is nestled near the creek that flows in the hollow of our 100 acre property. From the moment you arrive you are embraced by the peace and tranquility - lie in the hammock, or dangle your feet in the rapids. You'll feel like you're a million miles from nowhere but minutes from everything; just 40 minutes to Byron Bay and 10 minutes to Lismore, with cute little villages all around such as Dunoon, Eltham, Federal, Bexhill, Clunes and Bangalow - immerse yourself in everything Northern NSW has to offer.**Please note this cabin is at the rear of the property it is 4wd access only!! ** Totally off Grid, this rustic shack is purpose built to take in nature. The Shack was built by Peter and Tania so that they could take their young children down the farm to enjoy the simple things in life. A queen size bed and bunk beds (BYO linen) make this the perfect spot for a family to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect as a family. If you are a keen hiker or you are fit and adventurous, you are welcome to travel by foot by hiking approximately 1k down hill to Barachi (it's all up hill on the way back :-)). Hikers - please note: Peter is happy to take your gear down and back on the Quad bike - simply select Hikers Assistance when booking. This is no frills and basic. Think camping without having to bring the tent! A pit toilet, some solar lighting, a gas BBQ and hammock on the deck and a fire pit.   There is a small tank that we will fill with drinking water for you. You must bring your own linen.

Barachi the Shack
It was a beautiful and very relaxing weekend. Just us , the creek, the fire pit and the shack. Peter was very welcoming and showed us the way down to the shack, without him you wouldn’t find it . Perfect for a romantic weekend getaway - we didn’t want to leave.

Absolutely beautiful and relaxing! When we first pulled up out the front I was a little worried that it would be too suburbia but I could not have been more wrong! We were met by Peter and taken down to a very peaceful private spot by the creek. The rustic shack had all the essentials and a lot of charm just perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle. My dog could be off leash and had an absolute ball in the creek! The cows added to the serenity as they roamed around. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return!

We loved staying in the cabin alongside the creek. Tania and Peter were friendly and helpful on checkin. We had a good time around the campfire and listening to the running creek.

Disconnect to reconnect! 🍃
It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives with limited connectivity. My partner and I had picnics by the creek, bonfires, lots of bbq and time to read and chat with no distractions. We absolutely loved it! The curious cows found our puppy very intriguing. The place is well set up, has everything you need, but of course for a rustic experience.

Old World Charm
I highly recommend this location as place to stay for an over night or even a couple of nights rest up.. Located well away from any habitation, the Shack has its own creek and small paddock to itself. A lovely quiet location with basic facilities that suit its rustic nature are more than adequate. This makes for a very simple comfortable stay. The Shack is a large one room hut made of corrugated iron and local time. This gives a old world charm about it. A 4x4 is highly recommended as some low clearance AWD SUVs will likely struggle on a couple of the track sections getting in/ out. Heavy wet weather may prove a challenge if your tyre tread is road pattern only. Mobile phone coverage is intermittent. Overall a great place to visit with Peter being friendly and very helpful. We had a great time, Thanks

A simply wonderful little cabin, surrounded by some wonderful views. Will be back for sure, one of the best little spots.
