Bai-Yai is a 480 acre partly Conservation Covenanted property, 70 minutes south-west of Armidale & 70 minutes north-west of Tamworth. On the tablelands 700 metres above sea level, next door to Warrabah National Park. Our northern boundary is the Macdonald river, just before it drops westward through the gorges & changes its name to the Namoi. We're for the nature-lover who enjoys peace & quiet away from crowds, who values birdsong above the hum of cars & generators! Our facilities are simple but comfortable, all off-grid. There's a covered platform kitchen area overlooking some of the great river swimming spots for campers to enjoy, a pit toilet, simple shower, & fresh drinking water supplied daily. The owners house is out of sight but within coo-ee if needed. The river & general wildness of terrain make Bai-Yai camping not really suitable for young children who requite 24/7 supervision for their safety. CRITICAL: Please ensure your personal profile is completed including a photo before submitting a booking request.

Bai-Yai River-Rock Hideaway Camping
Very peaceful, no neighbours or farm animals near the vicinity. The amenities provided are great tho I used my own camp equipment. Easy directions.

Bai-Yai River Outlook Camping
We had a really nice time camping by the river, it is always great when you have a campsite to yourself. The shelter/toilet/pump shower were all an added bonus. Lovely hosts. We recommend this spot.

Platypus Hut
Remote and interesting, natural and wild. Comfy beds and all amenities are very clean. There is swimming and walking as well. Both of us had a great time feeling super relaxed and Jill was a helpful and lovely host. Rob and Luke.

Bai-Yai River-Rock Hideaway Camping
So worth it!
Perfect place to get away from it all over Easter. It’s a very beautiful and peaceful spot. We appreciated being the only family booked in so we could really enjoy our time together. Our boys had a ball kayaking, rock hopping and cooking damper. The sound of the river washing over rocks gave us all the best nights sleep. Jill was very flexible and accomodating with our arrival time which we needed to delay due to rain on the first day. We would love to come back one day.
