Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Second time staying there and it was so lovely again. The river was nice and chilly and the atmosphere and area are just beautiful.

Wayne has a beautiful site right next to river. Plenty of room. Lots of birds and gorgeous cows wondering around. Be careful of the river as it can flow pretty fast.

What a spot! Alot of work has gone into this campground. Well maintained grassy campspots right on the banks of the Tumut River & also a clean well vented drop toilet. A big thanks to Wayne for making this spot available for us all to enjoy.

Beautiful spot right on the river. Lots of shade too.. Really enjoyed my time there. Was travelling south with my border collie & it was perfectly safe for us to stay there. She loved it too. Will definitely be back..

Peaceful Riverside Stay
I had a fantastic stay at Bahwidgee RV site! The location is beautiful and offers a peaceful, natural setting, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Wayne, the host, was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There’s one long drop toilet on-site, which was clean and convenient. The nearby river flows fast and is best suited for strong swimmers, so it adds a bit of adventure for those up for it. It’s close to Tumut, so there’s plenty to see and do in the area. My only minor suggestion would be to add a few more amenities for added convenience, but overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a scenic and restful place to camp!
