“Amaroo” means “A Pretty Place” in traditional Wiradjuri language and thats exactly what you will find at Amaroo On McLays. We are 3.5km from the Narrandera town centre, so all amenities are close by. Suitable for all types of vans, RVs, camper trailers, although you must be self contained. The property has a security coded gate and is boarded by the main canal on the north and the Murrumbidgee Regional Park on the south. It’s only 100m from the Murrumbidgee river and a 2minute drive or short bike ride to a large sandy swimming beach. We have an abundance of resident wildlife on site (including koalas) We welcome short or long stay and pets are welcome on request. It's the perfect base for exploring everything the Riverina has to offer.

Site 7

100% (4)
RV site · Sleeps 5 · Vehicles under 39 ft
Site 7 is located in the Eastern section of the property. They flat, open and the most private of the sites. There is no public road access to the national park past these sites. (This is where we actually choose to camp ourselves on site) There's heaps of room for families to enjoy a game of cricket or footy. Sites in this section of the property are suitable only for Camper Trailers or higher clearance Off Road / Hybrid Vans. You need to go through a gully crossing, across a levee and through some additional smaller "dips" to access these sites. Although the crossing is always dry (unless a major flood is occurring) larger vans / large RVs and 5th wheelers will not negotiate through this section.

AMAROO HORSE CAMP

RV site · Sleeps 5 · Vehicles under 98 ft
The Amaroo Horse Campsite is perfect for families or groups who wish to bring their equine friends along for the ride. It's flat, spacious and offers both shade and sunshine. With access to the adjoining national park all year round there's plenty of opportunity for trail riding through the national park, but also safe to let kids ride free across our 20acres. Suitable for floats, trucks or goosenecks. Campers must be self-contained as we currently have no bathroom facilities on site. (A port-a-potty in an ensuite tent is fine) You will need to bring your own yards or tethers or hobble horses when they are not being ridden. We do have a pump on site and you are welcome to pump water from the canal for horses. The pump is about 100m from the horse campsite. If extra vehicles or guests are required, please also book site 1 or 2 at the time of booking.
