Altamira Along Bakers Creek Camp
Such a great spot to camp, best we have found near Newcastle! So much to do here with the farm animals, pool area, spa, trampoline, creek, there is an awesome bar and living area with a pool table and an outdoor entertaining area. The owners have done an incredible job with the setup here. Dog friendly and the owners and all the other campers were so lovely. Awesome experience will definitely recommend and be back!

This place is absolutely amazing!! Great for a family get away or a few mates the bar is awesome too and having a pool right near camp was the best!! Will be coming here again.

Amazing place, out 3yr old loved it. So much to do over 3 days we where there. Staff and owners are lovely, animals are well cared for and it is a divine place to stay.

Great place to camp. Will definitely be one for us to return to.
For the kids: lots of room to run around and they loved all the animals running around and able to pat.
The weather was a bit rainy when we were there but the hot spa still aloud us to get in the water.
Adult: great beer garnden and pool table over looking the kids toy room that allows you to relax and unwind while the kids play and still able to see them.
The owners are lovely and made the stay very enjoyable. Recommend this camp site.

We loved our 3 days stay in this beautiful campsite, perfect for couples, friends and families plus it’s pet friendly. Jacci and her husband was very accommodating to us. So if you’re looking for a peaceful campsite with amazing ammenities, this one is a must visit!

What a lovely but of land this is. Beautiful views of the rolling hills. The kids loved all the animals and splashing around in the pool. We were the only ones there for 3 days and was a perfect spot to relax and chill.

Excellent camping site. Has all the amenities you would require and more. Even a bar! The drive to the camp site is also very scenic. Would definitely come here again as it just became our favourite spot.

Absolutely loved our stay! Jacqui and Mark are the most wonderful hosts – so supportive and attentive. We forgot a few things, and they went out of their way to help us out. They’re so lovely to chat with too! We even ended up extending our stay because we were having such a great time.
The highlights? Definitely the pool (so refreshing!), the hot showers (a lifesaver after a long day), being with the animals in their farm, and the incredible clear night skies. But the best part was the firepit – we made such happy memories with our daughter’s first-ever campfire, roasting marshmallows under the stars.
If you’re after a relaxing and fun camping experience, this is the spot. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved our time here, was a gorgeous spot with so many spaces for camping. We chose a beautiful spot near the dam and under a shady tree. All the different animals were a highlight, they were friendly and adorable! We also loved the pool, so nice to cool down on a hot summer afternoon. Thanks Jade!

The weather was hot so the pool was great to have. Jacqui and Mark the hosts were terrific. Our caravan spot under a big beautiful tree down near the entrance was lovely and peaceful. We were there for a week. Would recommend

Stopped for 1 night on the way to Sydney which wasn't long enough. The place is equipped with bathrooms, showers, pool, animals, kids playgroup and entertainment. I will definitely be returning.

Owners are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Pool is great on a hot day and the bar area is great for hanging out, as is the library. The animals are great and is great place for kids or getting together as a group. . Personally loved the birding.

We had an amazing time, it was a great place to chill and relax.
The kids loved the animals and swimming in the pool. It is a very open place with lots of space for everyone to spread out so we could have plenty of space between us and other campers.
We would highly recommend. Thanks for an amazing Christmas break

What a fantastic spot- definitely returning as a regular- camping spots clean ,easily accessible, toilets, showers, . Pool - hot spa- inside bar and pool table - beer garden - and greeted by very friendly jade- love this spot -and it was such a lovely drive along the way to get there - I have only positive comments and can’t fault it at all - Thankyou Jade for offering your lovely property to hipcamp -

Wow what an amazing spot! We only stayed a night but would definitely like to return with the family. Peaceful, well set up and the hosts were so welcoming and great to chat to. The beer on arrival in the bar was a great way to end the scenic drive up to this beautiful spot. Facilities were great and easy to find a nice level spot for the camper. Thank you for having us and we hope to visit again soon!

We just got home after a wonderful long weekend winters camp at Altamira! What a great spot, amazing sunsets and Birdlife as well as lovely hosts. The bar is an excellent addition with a lovely fire and welcoming vibe. The pool and spa are fab and we'll be returning in warmer weather to enjoy that pool! Thanks for a lovely weekend. Awesome facilities, highly recommend!

We had an exceptional weekend away, Jade was fantastic host. We can't wait to go back.
Just wanted to remind the public, when camping with showers & it says tank water in use. You should be limiting you time.

Everything we were after.
Remote but with all the facilities to make it not feel remote.
Great view, rolling green hills, pool, tennis court, river, plenty of roaming animals and a bar.
You can either camp or stay in a room.
Either option has great views.
Super friendly owners more than willing to help where/when required.
Not too far from Gloucester if you need essentials.
They have ice and fire wood available which makes things easier.
Great to camp and then head up to the bar to watch the footy.
Great spot to take the kids. All animals friendly and super easy to visit.
Thanks for the great 3 nights.
