Winter fun
Our group loved the location. The creek was amazing fun for the kids, and they loved feeding the chickens as well. We happened to go mid cold snap and trust me when I say it gets cold, be prepared for that.. being able to have a fire was perfect and helped.. another thing to be repaired for is that you have to take your rubbish away with you. The shower was cute but we decided it was too cold even during the day for a shower that out in the open - probably perfect in warmer months. We are totally coming back during warmer months.

We only did an overnight stay but I absolutely loved this little spot.
It’s winter now but I found a great little spot to plunge into the creek. Later we used the sauna which Georgie started up for us and in between we did another creek plunge!
Although we still had work to do it was great to be doing it in nature while bringing a bit of balance into our stay and also having a fire.
My only observation - I would probably move the fire pit so it’s not under the power lines but overall a magic spot to be with the creek so beautiful and clear.

This was a lovely site. Unfortunately we picked a very wet weekend so we had to leave early due to the sodden ground and mud everywhere. However on a dry weekend this would be a lovely spot. The kids loved the rabbit and chickens.

Fantastic long weekend away!

Beautiful location and the shower and toilet facilities are a bonus. You cant beat sitting around a fire listening to creek water running, all humans and dogs loved our relaxing few days away.

Serene private picturesque hideaway

We loved our short stay with our little dog and our hybrid van. Driveway was quite steep, but slow n steady and we were fine.
Running crystal clear and cool creek was do serene. The outdoor shower was fun and the facilities were clean.
We felt very safe and private.

I loved tent camping at upper crystal Creek. The creek was beautiful to swim in on such a hot day. Great jagging the Campaspe all to ourselves and the toilet and shower on site, made our trip packing so much easier.

Spectacular Scenery & Serenity

Absolutely stunning spot! The scenery is breathtaking – the ambiance is just perfect for a peaceful getaway. The beautiful creek adds to the magic – great for taking a dip and cooling off, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.
Aaron was super friendly on arrival – gave us a warm welcome, then left us to enjoy the space in complete privacy, which was exactly what we were after! Firewood is available for $45 per wheelie bin – super handy for cozy nights by the fire. The rustic shower did the job – no complaints there – and the loo with a view was clean – just remember to bring your own toilet paper.
The neighbour's moo cows were a delight to watch – they really added to the charm of the place, as did Aaron's friendly resident moo who we got to pat. We’ll definitely be back! Just a heads-up for anyone visiting during storm season – the creek can rise quickly. It didn’t break its banks while we were there, but it was a little nerve-wracking to watch.
All in all, an amazing stay – highly recommend! 🌿🔥🏕️

Beautiful, private & quiet camp site on the creek bank in an idyllic countryside setting. Creek is free flowing over some small rapids near the site creating a beautiful backdrop for the stay and great place to take a refreshing dip. Amenities were clean and tidy.

Beautiful little creek runs right past your site, the site is nice and clean and is very relaxing. Just sit back and watch the cows go about their day.

Gorgeous space next to a full flowing creek that was deep enough to swim after all the rain. Loved the shower facilities. Didn't get to meet Aaron but it is clear that his family treat the land with a lot of love.

Camping at Creek Side at Upper Crystal Creek was great, the camping ground is beautiful and the creek is amazing. We had children with us who all had a blast, feeding the chickens, rabbits and cows. The facilities are really good and well maintained.
Would highly recommend for families, we will go back in the future.

The perfect compromise.

We loved out recent stay, camping in our van. The site is perfectly situated on the embankment of Chrystal Creek, with the beautiful white noise of the water cascading over the river rocks.
Not as secluded as some locales but not as far to drive either.
