Our camp sites are only available during October for the Bathurst 1000, at this time. 3 Veg Farm is a small organic urban market garden on the edge of Bathurst. Established in late 2020, with over 1000 native species planted it is slowly emerging as an eco sanctuary. More than 50 different cold climate seasonal vegetables and flowers are grown on 3 acres and sold at the Bathurst Farmers' Markets, as well as from the farm gate shop and box deliveries around town. You can preorder a box of veges for your dinner. Watch the daily goings on of planting and harvesting, or get involved and learn all about permaculture - workshops and/or volunteering available. (Please note that this is an urban farm beside the train line on the edge of town, not a wilderness, so some industrial noises and trains can sometimes be heard around the clock.) Bathurst shops, restaurants and Mt Panorama are just 5 minutes drive away. Explore our heritage as Australia's oldest inland city, and there is a lovely little pastry cafe right around the corner. Bathurst is central for exploring the outlying goldmining & historic villages of Sofala, Hill End, Rockley, Carcoar as well as the Bridle Track and a beautiful drive along Fish River to Tarana and Evans Crown walking track. This is a safe space for women travellers and LGBTIQ+ folks. This is a lovely spot under the trees on the far edge of the property. (Please note that this is an urban farm beside the train line on the edge of town, not a wilderness, so some industrial noises and trains can sometimes be heard around the clock.)

This site is in a more open part of the farm, looking out towards the market garden, where you can watch the comings and goings. Suitable for larger vehicles and caravans as well as tents. Please note that this is an urban farm, not a wilderness, and being right alongside the train line, you will hear the occasional train rattling past.

We loved that we had our own private camp site surrounded by trees and the veggie garden, If you stay here make sure you get the veggie box as part of the extras. Cathy is a great host made us feel very welcome, we enjoyed our stay and visit to Hill End and Sofala and the chance to explore Bathurst

Lovely little spot of land and Cathie was helpful and communicative! We didn’t realise, however, that there was a train on one side of the camp sight, which awoke us several time in the night, as well as some noisy neighbouring businesses. Otherwise really lovely!

Cathie is lovely and very welcoming. As a solo traveller, I felt extremely safe and slept like a baby. I believe the energy of the place allowed me to rest so the train didn't bother me at all. Plus, the amazing work she has done in her farm is amazing and a great source of knowledge and shares experience. I will be back.

Cathie's land has just the one campsite which is situated at the far back corner of her property. This suited us perfectly as we spent our days away from our camp exploring the town, knowing that our camp was perfectly safe. We loved the market garden and Cathie was very generous with her time and knowledge answering our questions about permaculture. We ordered the veggie box and eggs and proceeded to make the best omelette I'd ever tasted.

This is a great central location. It is a safe camp with a fabulous host, Cathie is lovely. The trains were more frequent than we were expecting but we still slept ok but Cathie was up front about this in her description of the site.

We loved camping at Cathie’s Cabbage Patch. It is close to the centre of Bathurst, but felt safe and secluded. We enjoyed chatting to Cathie and highly recommend 3 Veg Farm produce!

Cathies place was incredible. We felt so welcome on beautiful farm block almost in the heart of Bathurst. Plenty of space, great campfire, outdoor loo and amazing veggie patch all over. We tried her hens fresh laid eggs, and veges. Must try. Will definitely be back and thank you for your kind hospitality Cathie. Nikki, Brendon, Austin, Peter!

I loved my stay at Carrot Tops. Catherine is very kind and helpful and her market garden is inspirational. The trees provided good shade and privacy. Staying here is an experience I can highly recommend.
