Bunga Surf Shack is located 20m from our house we are completing building in mid-2025. It is private from our house with a seperate driveway. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. If you would like to have friends stay with you there is additional space we allow for campers, otherwise we do not allow campers without the Surf Shack booking. Please be respectful of neighbours, drive slowly for wildlife, and no flying of drones over private land. Thanking you.Private cabin on 25 acres with expansive views of the ocean and forest. Queen size bed and 2 singles with linen and towels provided.  Electricity is now connected to the shack but not yet the bathroom.  Bring a head torch or similar. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. Beautiful seperate bathroom with comfortable bath. Toilet is a compost toilet in bathroom or a drop toilet further away if you prefer. Bath now has its water supply from our rain water tank, not as previously from dam water. Lie back in the bath and enjoy forest views and the sound of bellbirds. Bathroom is for Surf Shack bookings only. Campers use drop toilet. Rain water tank for drinking and boiling for washing up. Washing up sink and bench outside. Enjoy cooking on the gas cooker inside or the BBQ provided or on the fire.  Take a walk down through the property and join the public access road to Bunga Beach and Hidden Valley, both walking distance from Bunga Shack and very secluded. Or just a few minutes to drive to each through neighbouring properties. Perhaps you'll see a goanna emerge from the bush, watch eagles, abundant birdlife as well as numerous wallabies and kangaroos, an occasional wombat and echidna. Great for surfing, fishing, diving, walking, swimming or soak in a rock pool.  A great place to just relax!

Site 2 - Lower Orchard
We had the most wonderful weekend on Louise’s land. The orchard is just gorgeous & the campsite has a gorgeous view of the ocean. The area is very private and everything (drop toilet, campfire) is very close by. Would come back to this site & would recommend to other campers.

Bunga Surf Shack
We loved our stay at the Bunga Shack. The location was fantastic, the shack provided all the comforts you could ask for and Louise was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing, coastal getaway.

Camp Kendra (now Bunga Summit Camp)
We loved camping here, it was flat and private. This spot is a very short drive from the beach and the fish was excellent!! Looking forward to our next visit at Louise's place.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bunga Shack. Very lovingly cared for space, and everything made so easy for a relaxing time. We loved watching the storms come in, long soaks in the hot bath and the local dog beaches 💚 Thank you Louise for having us and being so thoughtful.

A cabin among the wildlife
Bunga Surf Shack
A great little spot among the wallabies and bell birds. Perfect for my partner and I to have a quiet weekend with our two small dogs. Will be back again soon

Bunga Surf Shack
Me and my partner had a beautiful stay at Bunga Surf Shack. It was a very peaceful and comfortable space, with a great view of the ocean. The shack is surrounded by nature and conveniently a short drive into town. Would definitely recommend this place for folks wanting a relaxed and quiet space to switch off.

Wow! What a special place on this earth! Louise’s place is serene. The simplicity of her design makes minimal impact on the magnificent landscape. Her interior decoration beautiful. You have all you could need at this place for a Hipcamp get away. Louise has created a space in which to remember what is important in life - nature, stars, friends and fine company.

We loved staying at the off-grid shack. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Views to the ocean were a highlight, as was the large cabin windows and location. Local beach was great for the kids and Matt will be bringing his surfboard next time!

What a beautiful place
Bunga Surf Shack
What a beautiful place. You can watch whales swimming by literally from your bed. Local beach is nice and quiet, and there's a little bush track that takes you along the coastline with plentiful of wildlife. This little shack is a true gem.

Bunga Surf Shack
We had an idyllic time at the Bunga Surf Shack, and have been thinking of it ever since. The cabin is warm, comfortable and full of character, with a superb view over the rolling hills to the ocean. The hot baths on cold winter nights were a treat. The site is secluded and teeming with wildlife. A scenic 15 minute drive into Bermagui. Louise was away at the time of our stay but was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed.

The Bunga Beach Shack was a perfect stay for us as we travelled up the coast. An amazing mix of glamping and cottage core vibes. We loved the hot bath, campfire under the stars, ocean views and kangaroos on the lawn.

We loved staying at the Bunga Shack. So beautifully set up and comfortable with amazing views and wildlife. Louise thought of everything and the breakfast pack was devine. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to escape to nature, whilst still enjoying some luxuries, that bath! And very comfortable beds .

The whole family had a great relaxing experience at Bunga Surf Shack. The shack was well set up and had everything you need, beds were comfortable and the view was devine. Kids loved spotting wildlife, making fires and running around the beautiful , well kept outdoor space. We will definitely be back. Thanks Louise

Amazing ! Loved every minute of our stay. The shack was really well setup, the bed was super comfortable, and the views were divine. Oh, and the bathtub was an extra bonus, with views into the bush. Wonderful times spent watching and listening to the birds. We will definitely be back again.

Perfect place to relax and explore
Bunga Surf Shack
We spent three wonderful days and nights staying at the Shack. It’s a great space with well thought out features. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. You can see and hear the ocean. There’s an abundance of local wildlife to admire. Louise (the host) was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast of local bread and egg was delicious. There are so many beautiful beaches to discover and local towns a short drive in any direction. This is a perfect location to relax, and good base from which to enjoy all that the sapphire coast has to offer.

STOP SCROLLING AND BOOK THIS PLACE! Brooke from Hipcamp staff here. I stayed on the weekend with two teenagers and had an amazing time! You can check out the reel on our instagram page. https://www.instagram.com/p/CntS236jNhc/ We loved our stay. The Shack has been lovingly built by hand and is a feast for the eyes, so many details. We loved all the plants and candles. It felt like we were sitting in an atrium with breathtaking views to the ocean. We loved strolling the orchard/garden. We loved the bath tub (hotter water than I get in my own tub at home). The camp kitchen was great, quirky, has everything you need and then some! The iced esky was brilliant and stayed cool for three days we were there. Drinking water in large bottles provided. We loved the added things in the cupboard like salt and pepper, herbs and spices, selection of teas, big gas cooker and vintage crockery! There's even a bit of a pantry store for gold coin donation if you've forgotten to pack something (so bring some gold coins). We loved having free range eggs and local sourdough for breakfast. Nearby Bung Beach has lovely rockpools at low tide (walk to the south to find them). We also went on a day trip to Mimosa Rocks National Park walking trail where the little private bays are perfect for a swim - so pack your swimmers on the walk. You won't regret a visit here! Amazing, such a lovely spot with ocean views, big campfire and nice camp kitchen. Think looking at the stars, roast march mallows, lie in the bath tub looking into the woods and vies everywhere. The Beach Shack is beautifully decorated and so very cozy. There is nothing negative to say. We will be back as well.
