Would definitely come again! The site was beautiful. The fire pit, benches, and lights in the tree were so cozy and peaceful. We saw the second site and was amazed! We loved walking around, Shawn was always available if we needed to call or anything. It was so quiet and far away from people and still had service. We really enjoyed our time.

The upper site is beautiful. Plenty of secluded space with good hammock trees around a good, established fire pit. There's a little loop trail a little uphill from the site for an easy ~ 1/2 mile hike. We were pretty careful with food and trash cleanup, and had no critter visitors. Pleasant!
That upper site is fairly easy access with enough clearance. Most SUVs could drive up just fine, right up to the site, but probably not most cars. It's only about a 5 minute walk up from easy parking though, if needed. I'll say the drive was a little overgrown and could use a trim so as not to scratch the paint, so if I came back I'd want to bring a hedge trimmer. There is a lower site too but we didn't spend time there, and it didn't look nearly as inviting.

I love this site. This was our second year coming back to Sean's place. And there were some small upgrades from last year that were lovely. They built a bench around the fire which was helpful for extra seating and for putting out some cooking gear. They also added some little lights to the trees to make it feel cozy. There are plenty of flat spots for your tent and it is super quiet so it gives the feeling of true wilderness camping without being out of cell range. Hard to find a spot that quiet anywhere else in the area. Its a 10 minute drive to Jenny Jump State park and we attended their Saturday night astrology lectures that they do from April to October. Great place to camp out for a few nights.

Great site! Our group enjoyed the setup immensely. Nice fire pit and folks appreciated the port a John onsite as well. Our group wasn’t that big so we only walked up to the second site but it looked pretty cool too.
Shawn was awesome - reached out prior to arrival to check in and give us some details. Really appreciated his insight.

Excellent camping spot at end of the driveway with porta potty. We didn't explore up to the second campsite until the morning, but WOW. Very cool site. Also a great little network of trail loops you can explore the property on. Great stop on our multi day car trip.

Great spot for our squad of six for a 3-night camp. We stayed at the second campsite. It worked well for mixed experience (one persons’s first time and 2 seasoned campers). It was lush green in mid August. With beautiful fire pit/benches/tree-stump bar. Shawn was super responsive on the app and even sent a local guy to help us when we had car trouble. Also, Portajohn was so clean! (Bring extra toilet roll/wipes).
One flag — the road up to the 2nd campsite is sincerely a lil treacherous for cars, even with an SUV. A super high-clearance Jeep did just fine, but we badly scratched our SUV rental. So just plan to get snug up against brush and have someone outside the car guiding the driver around rocks. (Road is narrow and has some fixed large rocks/tree stump that are hard to see over the hood/gauge how much you can clear). Some markers and overgrowth maintenance would help.
Bout a 5-min walk downhill to the parking/1st campsite/portajohn, from the 2nd campsite, if you don’t drive up. (We hauled stuff in a wagon, up and down)
So many diverse bugs in high summer heat. And we did find a few ticks on us/our stuff.
Although we did have privacy, one night someone came through our camp on their ATV and said they were “just passing through.” So might get a visitor, but doesn’t seem like that’s common.
We drove nearby to AMC Mohican Outdoor Center to swim. Found a few farms nearby. And had our last breakfast at Harper’s Grill in Belvidere (perfect ending!)

Been here twice already. Amazing place. Secluded. Lots of bugs but not many mosquitoes. Great fire pit. Not sure who put it but there was firewood ready for me. Seen several deers. 10min hike up from camp site, trail is not managed and overgrown. Never explored beyond this point. 100% visiting at least once a year.

This Hipcamp is for the adventurere! The directions were accurate, and I found the turn off from the main road without difficulty. Keep your eyes open as you approach the address. The turnoff is nothing more than dirt road. The turn off is on a straight section of road, so you have a little time to slow down.
I have a Jeep and had no issues, my camping partner had a new Subaru and he had no trouble. With careful tire placement, a Honda Civic could probably make it up the trail.
I drove a little up a dirt trail and came across a very nice spot. There was already a decent fire rock fire ring there as well as some primitive tree carved benches and a table.
There were enough trees to set up my hammock and my buddy had room for his tent.
I plan on going back to explore the back country of his property.
This is camping in it's most primitive way. No water, there is a Porta John on his property, but closer to the main road.

The larger group campsite that we booked for this trip was only accessible by 4WD/AWD which was fine for us. There was a large fire pit and benches which was nice! We fit one Land Cruiser, one very large sprinter, and a bronco sport with no problem, and plenty of room to camp. Bonus little off road loop behind the camp site as well. Super close to all of the activities at the water gap. Would stay here again but definitely wanted to give others a heads up about the AWD/4WD 😊

Jenny Jump is truly a magnificent nomadic camping experience! As someone who has done many multi-day backpacking trips and previously lived in the Rockies, I have plenty experience with nomadic sites like Jenny Jump. I can say with genuine honesty that this is the best nomadic camping I’ve experienced in the NE.
Few Notes for future campers:
-The further removed site does really require high clearance vehicles or at the very least trail rated tires (the terrain itself isn’t terribly difficult, but there is unavoidable exposed rock which could result in a flat tire)
-The site during spring has a thick tree canopy; blocking most of the sun and providing some coverage from rain
-Signage at the entrance is limited; google maps brought me directly there but it is easy to miss

This was the first time our group has gone camping and it was such a blast. The area is very private and peaceful. There is a lake a couple minutes away that was beautiful and we caught a bunch of fish over there. 10/10 would recommend this place and I will definitely be back before the end of the summer.

Beautiful site! We loved camping here—quiet and isolated, with no one around, which feels like the point of camping! It is in a beautiful area that is close to a lot of great hiking. The site had a wonderful fire pit and nice, level options for our tent. We have no problem reaching the upper site, never needed the 4-wheel drive. Even though we had some rain while there, there were no issues with drainage either. We would love to stay again!

LOVED Jenny Jump Mountain. This is my 3rd site I’ve visited on Hipcamp and by far the best!
Absolutely spacious and completely private. We used the main pre setup campsite since a lack of time and it was amazing. Couple of benches,chairs, and a table built from trees.
My suggestion is book for a minimum of two days because there’s so much to do on the property and nearby. There’s plenty to do around such as fishing,hiking,disc golf, land of make believe, etc
Drive up to the main site is slightly rough so if your in a lower car keep that in mind.

My friend and I had a great night at Shawn’s site! The camping area is a nice big clearing but there’s tons of space to roam around and explore! It’s far enough back that we couldn’t hear much from any roads, but only about a 10 minute drive from a little downtown area. We would absolutely go back!
