Great first camping experience!
Perfect first camping experience for my girls, ages 5 & 7. Ann and her partner thought of everything! Compostable toilet, ready-to-go firewood, flat, level spot for a tent, garbage can, and water straight from their well! They have lots of lovely animals, some of whom can be a bit noisy at times... the provided ear plugs came in handy for the few times their sweet dog got a bit vocal during the night:) This site is on a slight incline, with the road further below. Active neighbors to the north used it a few times, but otherwise pretty quiet. Thanks, Ann and crew!!

We stayed at this site for one night in our tent. Ann greeted us upon arrival and introduced us to Rocky- their dog and the rest of the farm family ( goats, chickens and guinea's). The tent site was well maintained, tidy and had everything we needed from the clean composting toilet to firewood. We loved the beautiful, secluded area. We highly recommend your next stay at Pine Needle Farm.
Thank you again John and Ann for your hospitality and beautiful camp site. Hopefully we can come back soon.

peaceful and secluded
We stayed at this site for a night on our way to Glacier and it was perfect— about an hour from the west entrance. Ann’s directions were perfect if you follow them exactly. road coming in is pretty rough, but any suv or truck should be fine. we met Ann on site and she was kind and helpful. the site is beautiful and very secluded. the composting toilet was super clean as well. definitely recommend this place!

Ann's goat farm was just perfect for what we were looking for on our cross-country roadtrip. (And the gardens and handspun yarn are amazing!)

Phenomenal stay!
Campsite was in tip-top shape and was very peaceful! Stocked with fire wood, and even some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper😊 The forest road feels endless if you’re a slow poke like me but TRUST THE DIRECTIONS PROVIDED, they are very precise and you will not miss it (I promise)! NOTE: SUV adjacent vehicles will make it, anything that sits off the ground higher than a Camry will make the drive, my FWD car did just fine in early spring!

Pine Needle Farm Cashmeres is a wonderful place to camp. Ann and John are friendly, accommodating, and take great care of their guests! Like others have said, Ann’s direction are on point. Their goats, livestock guardian dogs, and chickens are a huge bonus. If you can appreciate the time, effort, and resourcefulness of building and maintaining a homestead- you will enjoy their property.

Ann is a fantastic host. She greeted us upon arrival and had a big jug of water ready for us at the site. She showed us the composting toilet and introduced us to her dogs. The hiking trail behind the property led up to a spectacular view. Loved our stay.

Wonderful first time hipcamping!
Oh my gosh it was AMAZING. They thought everything out TO A TEE. Everything was top notch and our first e experience. The compost toilets were amazing, the cleared out land, the goats, the sweet protectant dogs, and the stars at night. Ann and John are great hosts and have built a wonderful homestead.

Pine Needle Farm is a treat! We spent four nights here and enjoyed the spacious, clean campsite and beautiful surroundings. While the location is a bit remote, that was a bonus for us – the Montana scenery is gorgeous and we often saw birds, little critters, butterflies, does and bucks coming up and down the hill to her place. Beyond the occasional (and welcomed) barking of her sweet guardian dogs, the site was quiet and peaceful – especially at night with the stars big and bright. Ann is a gracious host, and it was a treat to spend time at her sweet Montana homestead/farm – definitely recommend to those looking for a wild experience a little off the beaten path!

First off, Ann is an awesome host! I stayed out there for 3 weeks while waiting to move into an apartment. Personally, I really enjoyed my time there. I had no issues whatsoever. The dogs do occasionally bark at night, but never bothered me (Ann has ear plugs just in case). It is a peaceful place to camp, I would recommend mosquito spray, and possibly a fly trap, but that is expected camping in Montana during the summer. I hiked up the mountain 4-5 times, it’s an easy hike, Plus once I got to the top I had good cell phone service. I will most definitely go back on any given weekend to camp and just get away from town.

Quaint
The hosts were lovely and the site was beautiful! It was separate from the main house and very private. The farm is reasonably close to Glacier National Park, especially for the price. I would definitely stay again!

Cool place, great host, hard road
Cool little place! Ann was super sweet, she has an awesome homestead, and the campsite nearby is perfect, with firewood and a toilet and some service, if spotty. It’s a hard road to get there, so don’t do it in the dark or with a trash car (mine got there, but barely)

Peaceful, clean, best host
Peaceful, remote. No city sounds, just nature. Our stay was for two nights but we loved the place so much, we stayed an extra night. Ann has a great, thoughtful, mindful approach to the campsite, allowing the opportunity to meet her wonderful dogs that are vigilant over the goats and property.
Follow Ann's detailed directions to her farm. After the last paved road from Kila, MT. You'll travel on non-paved forest road, so watch for the markings. The camp has a clean, private compost toilet/changing area and covered firewood area with plenty of wood supplied. There's a comfortable outdoor shower, enclosed with base. Solar shower is provided. Ann has provided a covered picnic table and cook table, fire ring. The ground is level, but don't expect lush, soft grass, its a forested, mountainous area, the area is cleared just enough and walking trails nearby.
Great job by Ann.

Ann's place is so awesome! Quiet, peaceful, perfect.
Ann is such a sweetheart.
She gave incredible instructions on how to get in. Helped us out with filling out water jug. There's plenty of fire wood already cut and put up in a small enclosure.
The enclosed perimeter fence made us feel really safe too.

What a great spot to stay in your are planing a trip to Glacier NP! During COVID, there is no front country camping in the park, so this worked out great. Just under an hour and a half from the park.
The camp site had everything I needed. Parking spot for my car, flat area to put up my tent, picnic table, and my own compost toilet.
Ann was a great host as well! Showed me around the property, offered water, and gave super specific directions to get to the property. GPS will only get you so far.
