Campers Paradise
What a wonderful find Ken and Joan's land is. There is plenty of room to camp for RV, tent, car and hammock campers. They make it as easy as possible. It's an incredibly close drive from downtown KC (40 min) but feels like an isolated campers paradise. It seems like a place that would work for all ages. We did hammock camping and upon arrival Joan showed us multiple sites so we could make sure we had the perfect place to set 2 hammocks up. They brought by wood (you can venmo for wood, starter and chicken eggs) and there is excellent cell reception. The island, beach and grill are beautiful amd have a quirky whimsical look to them. The property has classic and 80s car strewn about and when you add an emu, a horse, ducks, geese and chickens to the mix.... you can't go wrong staying here. I have camped all over the country for work and for pleasure and this campground ranks in the most memorable and fun ones. There is a bathroom with showers and a port-o-potty by the back sites. We brought kayaks and were able to get in out of the pond with some cautious navigation of the banks on the backside of the pond. The island in the middle is rigged up with speakers from Kemper Arena and Ken plays 80s and 90s hit at night. It's a great way to allow campers to have fun bonfires without fear of being too loud before quiet hours begin (10pm). The beach has lounge chairs, floaties, a trampoline, sand and some toys. I cannot reccomend this place enough and I will definitely be back.

Kenny was a very generous and welcoming host! His communication was great and he made sure that I felt comfortable and at home on his property. The property itself is gorgeous and has so many beautiful spaces to enjoy, and plenty of cool animals! Somehow there were also no mosquitos or bothersome pests. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, and the water was warm even when the air outside was cool. I would have stayed here for many more days if I could have, but I had to continue along on my cross country road trip! It was a memorable stop along the way. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

We stayed 1 night in a tent at Harmony Lake and we will definitely return! The hosts were very polite and helpful. The place is beautiful and the camp sites were perfect. Just enough privacy for the 4 of us! We enjoyed fishing and caught a few. Overall a great experience and we will be back!

Loved camping at Harmony Lake and will definitely be back! Kenny and Joan are welcoming and have created a beautiful experience for their guests! We enjoyed the animals, fishing, and swimming! Kenny helped our daughter catch her first fish and took the time to give us fishing tips! Great experience and only an hour away from KC!

Nice sites, great for kids!
This place was great! Really beautiful land and nice lake. Lots for the kids to do (animals, swimming and I think they each caught 3-4 fish!) and Ken and Joan are so accommodating. They even found correctly sized swimsuits for our two daughters when we forgot ours at home! Had a lot of fun and will be coming back soon. Thanks for everything!

Lakeside camping
My son and I had a great time at Ken and Joan’s. They were wonderful hosts. It was apparent that they loved their slice of heaven and were so happy to share it with others. The lake and fishing were great! My son loved every second. We camped in our tent about 10 feet from the water. Geese, ducks, an otter and other wildlife were around. The view is the stars was spectacular. We will be making this trip a habit. Thank you!

This was a fantastic stay, the lake is absolutely serene. We got to pull right up to the lake with our camper. The beachfront and the island were a awesome. Herons, geese and ducks all about and owls hooting at night.
Would recommend for anyone, especially kids!

Camping perfection, beautiful land!
We loved staying at Ken’s Harmony Lake camp! Ken hand-picked out the perfect site back in the woods for us. We felt completely private and safe, and the site was beautiful and spacious! There is a well-kept private lake on the property, paddle boats to use, a swim beach with sand, an island in the lake with a floating bridge out to it. Once your out to the island, there is seating and docks and beautiful landscaping on the island. We purchased firewood and potable water from Ken on arrival for cheap. My husband, my son and I made VERY peaceful memories, and enjoyed EVERY minute it the property!! We are staying again on our next camping trip!

Ken and Joan are the nicest, sweetest people. Their property is beautiful, the island in the middle of the lake is so unique. Pearl the horse is the perfect addition to the landscape. So much to take in. The fishing is amazing per my obsessed son.

Perfect spot in nature
Loved tent camping here! Lots of spots to set up tent, camper, or rv. Hosts are very nice and stayed up to show us around, even though we arrived later in the evening. There’s an outdoor kitchen setup for grilling and preparing food with cute spots to eat by the water. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of chickens and seeing the campground cat. The shower and toilet setup are great, too. Highly recommend and I hope to return someday.

Harmony Lake - Large RV O Farm Stay
The property was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed relaxing and petting/visiting the animals. Coming from the suburbs, it was so nice to experience a little bit of the farm life.. the hosts were exceptionally nice and you can tell they care about what they are doing. It was obvious they work hard to give their guest the best experience possible. We certainly appreciated that they opened their property up for us campers.

Beautiful lake camping
The views on the land are great. There were lots of things for my kid to do. Fishing, swimming, boating. The campsites were clean and a good distance from other sites. It was nice to have a shower and fresh water available.

We had a great time camping at Harmony Lake and plan to return. Kenny and Joan are friendly hosts and have created a relaxing, clean, low-key, magical spot. There's plenty of space for privacy and quiet time. Kids will enjoy the chickens and Boris the Pig and other animals (safely penned up, of course). We're so glad to have this place to go to less than an hour from the city. Thank Kenny and Joan, you guys are good peeps.

Fantastic Stay at Harmony Lake
Harmony Lake was Beautiful, secluded, friendly and well cared for. Ken and Joan met us when we arrived (later than we expected) and showed us our private camp site. We were surrounded by trees. It was only a short walk to everything. They had animals, a lake with swimming and an island. Our son enjoyed the paddle boats and catch and release fishing. Ken and Joan made our stay over the top. They were kind and checked in on us when they brought the bundled wood by. The grill house was next to the lake and the shower was hot. Ken and Joan were excellent host. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Getaway by the Lake!
Great weekend getaway, got away from the city for a bit and just hung out around the lake, the sandy beach was a nice touch and the island was awesome!! The farm animals were friendly and the land was nice to walk around and explore. Plenty of distance between campsites for your own private space. Thanks Ken and Joan for the hospitality. The fresh eggs were great! Was a pleasure to meet you both! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Amazing sites, good shade for most of them. Fire pit and picnic table on site. Service was wonderful, had firewood available and brought it to our site. Clean portapotty available. We loved our stay!
