All You Need is a 111 acre paradise that is home to some VERY unique and endangered habitat. Our northern boundary is a tract of DeSoto National Forest, where we have practically exclusive access to another 90 acres of longleaf pine savannah and more bottomland creeks. The sandhills are home to prickly pear cactus, deer moss (7 kinds of lichen), and our mascot, the endangered Gopher Tortoise. We're working to develop a nature education and retreat center where we share permaculture practices, homesteading/sustainable living skills, conservation practices, and approaches to connecting more deeply to the land. You will have access to and be a 5 minute walk from our many walking paths and our swimming pond, as well as a 15 minute walk to Desoto National Forest, which butts up to our property line. We would love to have you as our guest on the land, and are especially eager to meet travelers who deeply love nature and want to live in better relationship to it!

Primitive camping fun
Cool little pine forest. Camped pond side. Was relaxing. This is however a primitive camp area. Stayed for one night on my travels. Great little walking path around the pond and also thru the forest.

Cozy Pineland Micro-Cabin
The micro-cabin was super cozy. It was around 40 degrees at night and we were snug as a bug.

Yurt Life
This place was great! The Yurt is full of musical instruments and books and has a great vibe about it. Really cool trails that are easy to navigate. My favorite was the lichen loop. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We had one small hiccup and the owners made it right. We will back.

Perfect spot in the pine forest. We tent camped on site 3 and loved it. It’s a short walk to the pond, which was calm and beautiful. Loved seeing all of the lichen and gopher tortoise burrows. It was very quiet and serene although we did hear dogs howling at night. The road was a little rough on the way in, but my Crosstrek made it fine. I would definitely stay again!!

Absolutely great stay. Very lovely hosts. Very helpful. It rained solid for 48 hours and they were kind enough to check on us. The land is beautiful. These folks are truly stewards of the land. I can give them no higher praise. If you walk all the trails on the land itself is probably 2 miles there is a beautiful pond and campsites on the pond. They’re also more remote campsites. We didn’t see a tortoise gopher but hearing about them was wonderful. My wife took a kayak out on the lake and the cold weather. I was not that brave . We stayed an entire week. The land backs up onto the De Soto national forest. We are hikers and we were fine off trail off grid. Our host told us about a place where three streams came together to a pool. That must be beautiful during the summer. We saw the remnants of all , very old presence in the woods that was quite interesting. This is PA-C in pack out primitive camping. Our host was kind enough to provide us with a compost toilet. We had our own toilet seat. There is portable water you need to bring your own wood for fire. we were the only campers other than one night we saw one. Nice lady camping. Everyone was great. I can’t recommend this highly enough. It’s an amazing place with amazing people. Five star primitive camping. I thought it was great value. If you like pine forest, this can’t be beat , the host is preserving a lichen forest, which was amazing to see. Visit these folks, you won’t be disappointed.

Glamping in the woods
Very helpful, friendly and responsive host. Quiet, secluded area. Yurt is huge, very comfortable, and fun to hang out in. We enjoyed the musical instruments, and all the sleeping and sitting areas. Had fun sitting around the campfire, hanging our hammocks in the trees, going for a hike, and playing boardgames in the yurt. Saw the pretty pond, lots of mushrooms and beautiful lichen.

Camped in peace by the pond…
Had a great visit on Jordan’s land. He was very kind and told us about the ecosystem there. They are doing a great job protecting it. The camp site was right by the pond and there was a campfire ring on site. I did hear dogs howling in the distance in the middle of the night but it was otherwise quite peaceful. The dirt road is a bit rough on the way in, just a heads up. Overall great site!

Quiet spot next to pond at site #2. A great spot to pitch right at the pond. Didn't get a chance to walk the trails because of late arrival due to weather. I had a brilliant starry sky for the night after the clouds cleared. Really cool spot would recommend.

We tent camped right next to the pond (site 1). And it was beautiful! No one else was tent camping while we were there so we had the whole place to ourselves.

All we needed and more!
Jordan's yurt was so beautiful! My partner and I stayed on thier farm with our 2 dogs for 2 nights and felt extremely comfortable and relaxed. We payed a little extra to use thier outdoor kitchen and it was completely worth it! One the first day we took the dogs hiking around thier swimming hole on the property at sunset which was beautiful. The next day we took the dogs to De Soto National Forest for a hike and swim. As we were walking back to te car, we were approached by a very sweet but very emaciated puppy. It became very apparent she was abandoned. After spending some time looking for a possible owner with no luck, we decided to take her with us to feed her and clean her up. When we got back, the other people that live on the farm were incredibly helpful and understanding about the new arrival. Though our trip didn't necessarily go as planned, we are very happy and grateful for our stay at the All You Need Institute! We are currently taking the lil pup to our vet for a check up and microchip scan. Looks like we gained a new member of our family on this trip!

Kezia and Jordan's property continues to be an endless resource of discovery and inspiration. We stayed in the yurt this time, I had no idea how "deluxe" it would be. The most fun I've ever had with a group of friends since before Covid. They have a piano and various instruments and there's even power, and a kitchen if you opt for it!

Freedom
The land is glorious. Part of the Forest, and I was free. Me and my dog, so very out in nature and free to roam, build a fire, hike for miles.. I was recharged when I left and I promised the land that we would be back.

Five stars to Jordan and the Burrow. Awesome host and location. Jordan went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule. Great first experience with Hipcamp. The Burrow is off the beaten path while being a few miles from the interstate. Quite, secluded and private. I will be returning.

I had a perfect solo getaway in the woods. The land was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet, and had lots to look at. Jordan took me to my cabin and showed me the features, offered to assist me with anything I needed and said to call him if I needed anything later. The cabin has a/c and the bed was comfortable. I felt very safe, which is important for traveling alone. I definitely plan to return!

The lake was wonderful for swimming!!! I definitely recommend water shoes for the lake. The property and campsites were so beautiful. We will absolutely be back!! Just know that you need to bring your own table and cooking grate if you wanna cook on the fire. Just a wonderful chill weekend. They were so kind to wait for us even though we didn’t get there until 8:30pm. Definitely stay here!

Great site to get away
The place was great, we got a camp site right in front of the large pond they have on the property and loved hearing all the frogs chat. The sites are pretty secluded, with the sites further from the pond being a bit more secluded than the ones by the pond. But I think wherever you decide to camp on the property will be enjoyable. Also, with Verizon I had reception the entire time, so if you still want a bit of emergency access to the rest of the world you won't have any issues.
