Beautiful and Peaceful
Travis's farm is great. The hiking trails are beautiful and there are so many animals to see. The farm is incredibly peaceful. The bathroom is in the basement of his house which is a nice. I was in the area for family events so we did not spend as much time on the farm as I would have liked, which just gives us a reason to go back. Travis and his wife are very nice. There was the chance of sever storms in the area and Travis even took the time to text us to make sure we knew to go to the basement if we needed to seek shelter. He was a caring and gracious host.

Peaceful farm camping.
Travis was very responsive to messages and extremely helpful. Camping site was great with a bit of leveling. Easy to pull through with 35' travel trailer. Awesome views of the fields and hills. Travis and Connie welcomed us to participate with their animals and we had the joy of being present for new born goat kids.
Nearby lake Ripley with splash pad and swimming beach is great for kids. The Meeker G.A.R museum was very interesting and had a great scavenger hunt for the family.

Wide Open Space
Loved camping at Travis's place. We had 2 campers and were able to set them up in an "L" with nice open space for the 5 kids to run and play. The kids loved the animals and freedom to run. We were able to buy farm fresh eggs, pork and beef. It's a pretty quick drive into town if you need anything, or to go swimming and fishing. The view of rolling farm land, meadows, marshes and gigantic oak trees is perfect.

Camping on the Farm
This was our first time using HipCamp and it was a great one. Travis and his wife were excellent hosts. We had a huge site in front of some farm buildings and under a huge old oak tree. We got to hold baby chicks, and the morning we left we got to see a couple newborn goats that were born that morning.
The property has been in the family since it was homesteaded around a century and a half ago, which is pretty cool. As such there are plenty of old pieces of farm machinery and tractors around, and other relics of the past. There is even an old abandoned farmhouse which is full of character and you would be hard pressed to find something like it anywhere else you'd camp.
We brought our own lawn games but the hosts provided horseshoe pits and a few other games as well. The nearby town of Litchfield has a drive-in theater that has been restored to it's 1950s glory and shows first-run movies. Another great experience.
Highly recommended!

Such fun to be farmer for a weekend
We certainly enjoyed our weekend stay on the farm. From learning the history of the place, to holding the baby chics, feeding the pigs, and catching goats, we made some lasting memories.
Thank you both for such a warm welcome!

Great camping getaway
It was great staying here for a camping getaway. There are unique camping spots right next to goats, Luke the cow, donkeys and pigs! Little walking trails with a spot, on a hill to watch spectacular sunsets. The hosts were super great, personable and extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location
We had a wonderful time in a great location. The host was great and let us burn all the wood we wanted for free. Playing with the animals was a lot of fun and we also drove 20 minutes to lake Minnie Belle for some kayaking and fishing.

Welcoming hosts. Took time to show my toddler the animals, chatted with us. Showed us the bathrooms, provided Firewood and fixed a fuse we broke. Quick replying to texts when booking and preparing to leave. Very accommodating.

Great weekend....
Travis was great. Things worked out perfect for what we were looking for. Some unexpected surprises helped us enjoy the place even more. Donkeys, pigs, goats and even a steer. We had fresh eggs for breakfast and looking to have a few campers out there next year.

Right at home.
Perfect spot for us. Family farm with family charm. Got to hand feed the donkeys, goats and pigs. We only wish we had more time. This place is best suited for multiple days to be able to explore everything and relax. We did a overnight here and me and my woman both wished we would have stayed longer. Travis met us on site and pretty much gave us full roaming capabilities of his land. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Older farm architecture sunrises and sunsets are heavily prevalent on his land and make for some of the most beautiful farm pics one can have.

True Farm Stay!
A wonderful stay! It was the break we needed from the busy campgrounds since we’ve been traveling for over a month. Travis and Colleen were wonderful host and very accommodating. My dog loved the freedom to run in the fields. We loved sharing our space with some very cute goats and a couple of donkeys across the way.

Bringing home the bacon!
Travis and Connie were very welcoming hosts! We even forgot a few things and they were able to help us out. There was plenty of room for the teenager to roam and gave us the relaxation away from home that we needed. We even brought home some delicious pork from his fat wooly pigs😂. It was nice not to be right next to other campers as well. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the land.
