Homesteaded more than 100 years ago this farm is somewhat stuck in time. Once this was a prosperous dairy operation. Location location location, this place is my slice of heaven on earth. Located in the corner of 4 townships on an extremely quiet road. Our farm now raises grass fed beef and wooly pigs pastured along driveway along with the usual cast of a farm, dogs, cats, chickens, guineas and goats

RV-ing with the Hosts and Animals.
The site was exactly perfect for what we wanted, the hosts were as nice and welcoming as we could have wanted right from the moment we arrived. Seeing the animals on site was a wonderful bonus. Thank you so much and we will be coming back next season for sure.

Camping with animals on a real work
Travis was a great host! It was so great to be welcomed into a REAL working farm. It is rustic and my kids were in heaven to be surrounded with all the farm animals. Travis was kind enough to bring the kids around for the morning feedings and even offered us to stay in their extra guest space, hey usually reserve for their children and grandchildren when it unexpectedly rained while we were camping on their property. We will make sure plan to stay longer next time!

In the Outback of Minnesota
We got there a couple hours past check-in. I texted Travis and he and Connie were there within 10 minutes. Travis immediately helped us choose our site and thoroughly explained the hookups. The farm is in a beautiful spot with amazingly old, old trees. Others have written about the fun farm animals. We didn’t interact with the farmlife but net their giant Holstein steer, the donkeys, goats and, best of all, the baby goats. Our site was beautiful. Grassy with shade and sun, picnic table, fire pit and free firewood. I was there with my son and fam in a motor home but would love to come back with my tent. Beautiful wooded trails and a spot to watch the sunset and stargaze. Travis and Connie couldn’t be nicer or more helpful and filled us in this homestead’s AMAZING history. Travis is, as I understand it, either the fourth or fifth generation in his family to own and live there. While we were relaxing outside, talking and having refreshing drinks, a turtle came walking through the site. This excited the dog more than any of the farm animals.

Beautiful and Peaceful
Travis's farm is great. The hiking trails are beautiful and there are so many animals to see. The farm is incredibly peaceful. The bathroom is in the basement of his house which is a nice. I was in the area for family events so we did not spend as much time on the farm as I would have liked, which just gives us a reason to go back. Travis and his wife are very nice. There was the chance of sever storms in the area and Travis even took the time to text us to make sure we knew to go to the basement if we needed to seek shelter. He was a caring and gracious host.

Peaceful farm camping.
Travis was very responsive to messages and extremely helpful. Camping site was great with a bit of leveling. Easy to pull through with 35' travel trailer. Awesome views of the fields and hills. Travis and Connie welcomed us to participate with their animals and we had the joy of being present for new born goat kids. Nearby lake Ripley with splash pad and swimming beach is great for kids. The Meeker G.A.R museum was very interesting and had a great scavenger hunt for the family.

Wide Open Space
Loved camping at Travis's place. We had 2 campers and were able to set them up in an "L" with nice open space for the 5 kids to run and play. The kids loved the animals and freedom to run. We were able to buy farm fresh eggs, pork and beef. It's a pretty quick drive into town if you need anything, or to go swimming and fishing. The view of rolling farm land, meadows, marshes and gigantic oak trees is perfect.

Camping on the Farm
This was our first time using HipCamp and it was a great one. Travis and his wife were excellent hosts. We had a huge site in front of some farm buildings and under a huge old oak tree. We got to hold baby chicks, and the morning we left we got to see a couple newborn goats that were born that morning. The property has been in the family since it was homesteaded around a century and a half ago, which is pretty cool. As such there are plenty of old pieces of farm machinery and tractors around, and other relics of the past. There is even an old abandoned farmhouse which is full of character and you would be hard pressed to find something like it anywhere else you'd camp. We brought our own lawn games but the hosts provided horseshoe pits and a few other games as well. The nearby town of Litchfield has a drive-in theater that has been restored to it's 1950s glory and shows first-run movies. Another great experience. Highly recommended!

Such fun to be farmer for a weekend
We certainly enjoyed our weekend stay on the farm. From learning the history of the place, to holding the baby chics, feeding the pigs, and catching goats, we made some lasting memories. Thank you both for such a warm welcome!

It was great staying here for a camping getaway. There are unique camping spots right next to goats, Luke the cow, donkeys and pigs! Little walking trails with a spot, on a hill to watch spectacular sunsets. The hosts were super great, personable and extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a wonderful time in a great location. The host was great and let us burn all the wood we wanted for free. Playing with the animals was a lot of fun and we also drove 20 minutes to lake Minnie Belle for some kayaking and fishing.

Right at home.
Perfect spot for us. Family farm with family charm. Got to hand feed the donkeys, goats and pigs. We only wish we had more time. This place is best suited for multiple days to be able to explore everything and relax. We did a overnight here and me and my woman both wished we would have stayed longer. Travis met us on site and pretty much gave us full roaming capabilities of his land. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Older farm architecture sunrises and sunsets are heavily prevalent on his land and make for some of the most beautiful farm pics one can have.

True Farm Stay!
A wonderful stay! It was the break we needed from the busy campgrounds since we’ve been traveling for over a month. Travis and Colleen were wonderful host and very accommodating. My dog loved the freedom to run in the fields. We loved sharing our space with some very cute goats and a couple of donkeys across the way.

Bringing home the bacon!
Travis and Connie were very welcoming hosts! We even forgot a few things and they were able to help us out. There was plenty of room for the teenager to roam and gave us the relaxation away from home that we needed. We even brought home some delicious pork from his fat wooly pigs😂. It was nice not to be right next to other campers as well. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the land.
