A rainy adventure!
Loved a quick weekend getaway - It rained most of the weekend, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the peaceful forested site #1, nearby bar The Bridge (with delicious food & fantastic service), and exploring around Crosby! Super easy getting to the property and clearly marked & neat sites. We would absolutely LOVE to stay there again.

The sites are spread out so you can’t hear anyone around you! The location is also so close to hiking, biking, and fun little coffee shops in town!

Secluded River/Forest Camping
Returned for a second time, and I still love this campsite. For anyone doing some mountain biking, this is the place for you. So close to Crosby and so close to all the trails. I stayed at site 3. It’s about a 3-5min walk from campsite #2 (spot where you can park your SUV). Nice little trail to get you out there. Site is big, plenty of firewood, secluded, and Leah added a picnic table. See my first review for more details.

Being from the boonies aka Alaska this is the closest I've gotten to the kind of camping in the lower 48 I'm used. Super quiet and concluded with good distance between the campsites. Would highly recommend!

Site 3 - Cuyuna/Mississippi River Land
This series of sites is my go-to for Cuyuna weekends. I live grabbing dinner at the VERY locals-oriented Bridge bar, a quick stroll freon any of the three sites. Access notes : probably any vehicle can reach site 1. With all-wheel drive, unless it's rained a bunch, you can get to site 2. I would NEVER attempt the drive into site 3 without true 4wd and good clearance, but if you have the right rig it's ok. All 3 sites have plenty of privacy.

One Of The Best
I went to this place 3 times this year, both site 2 and 3. Site 3 is a little far, but its a really nice site. If you like to fish and enjoy your privacy, this place is the place! Free firewood too. Lot of bugs though, but if you bring eveything you need, they wont bother you.

Solitude in the woods.
Off the beaten path. Stayed at site 2 and it was so quiet and peaceful. Bugs not bad for us. 4wd to get in (pickup truck) and so worth it. Not far from Crosby-mountain biking and time on the water. Yet away from the crowds. Very responsive hostess. Will definitely be back. Thank you Leah!

Site 2 - Cuyuna/Mississippi River Land
Inexpensive, lovely Cuyuna option
I was a returning camper this year, after also staying at Site 2 last summer. I've already booked my next visit. Site 2 is reachable by moderately high-clearance vehicle (eg a CRV, or most Subarus) but Site 3 is not - for that, you probably need a true 4wd truck or Jeep. All 3 sites have great privacy and river frontage. The Bridge bar/grill is a friendly, welcoming spot for dinner. It's the north woods, so there are definitely a few bugs swarming around dusk, even in early August ... But that should shock nobody!

Memorable weekend with the family
We had an amazing time. Really nice area. We were able to drive a truck to spot 2 but I don't think spot 3 is wide enough to go ask the way back. Lots of room to set up shop and lots of wood. River seemed high and wouldn't say it would be a great idea to swim right by the campsite. That being said, there are many places to check out right by there. Also if you have never visited the town of crosby, if recommend checking it out. As others started, mosquitoes were out on the trails but having a fire and a thermacell helped.

Camper Beware
What I liked: #1: Leah is quick to respond. #2: Campground is isolated. What I didn't like: #1: You need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access your site. (I could not drive my Ram Promaster van to my site and thus had to cancel.) #2: The sites are located VERY close to the Mississippi River which means there are mosquitoes everywhere. #3: Lots of overgrown vegetation.

Camping in the woods!
Very easy to find and lots of private space for campers! Like other people have said, you can hear road noise even though you're in a deeply wooded area. Campsite 2 was very tree-filled and not much open space. The bugs were "July in MN", but not horrible! We had a great time.

Memorable weekend!
We had such a fun weekend! Memorable - not only because we got our van stuck in the mud (definitely trust the advice to walk it in vs try to drive on the trail 🤪) and with lots of recent rain, the mosquitoes were pretty intense on the trail… BUT…. We absolutely loved site and Leah was so nice and helpful! We were at site #3; having a good quality wagon for gear / cooler was really helpful. We also used it to refresh some firewood! The bugs cleared once we started a fire. Honestly it was just the trail that was and the views were so

Campsite #3
Nice campsite and the kayaks were a bonus, even with paddling back upstream ;) the only warning is the hike to the site is a bit long so pack light and be ready for the swarm of mosquitos if going in the summer

Peaceful and nature induced camping
Its a great campground for backpacking or a small group, also great for mountain biking. I would recommend bringing a mosquito net or something because of the mosquitos and biting flies were very bad, but other then that it was very relaxing and a fun time.

Nice private campground on river
We stayed at site #2 and it was a nice, quiet, and well kept campsite! Leah was very responsive and helpful during our stay. Close to Cuyuna recreation center which was a blast, we went paddle-boarding on the many lakes there. Free firewood provided at the campsite. Very spacious campsite as well. We ended up leaving early due to the bugs but we were there during the dog days of summer which would explain, also not the campsite owners fault. Overall it was a great campsite, great owner, and great location! Would definitely recommend!

Stayed at site 3, a beautiful campsite. Left our Elantra at site 2 and packed our stuff into wagons. Lots of mosquitoes, I'd recommend fogger and jeans if going in there past early June. A great place to access the Mississippi.

Great spot at camp #2. Made it to the location by vehicle but had to take our time. Kayaks available on hand but not much of a area to get in and out the water without going through brush and mud. Would have been much more peaceful without a house acorss the river with lights blaring the direction of the site but overall great spot.

Great spot - site #3
We stayed at site #3 and it was amazing! The view is really nice, we got to hang out in the water, the dogs were so happy exploring around and also swimming! We had a good experience and would def go back! The mosquitoes were pretty bad, so be prepared!!! It’s not a long hike to the site but with mosquitoes eating you alive can be really tough and not enjoyable. But overall it was a good time!
