What a lovely hidden gem! This place was absolutely my dream come true for a secluded forest/lake getaway, and l only wish we had more time off work to extend our stay. The view from your tent or camper is a lily pond lake with a beaver dam and a "floating island," complete with genuine carnivorous plants! You may use the provided kayaks to scout out the flora and fauna, or just take gorgeous photos of fall colors, etc. It was super quiet for us mid-October, only the occasional cow or rooster, as opposed to those who hear frog song in the warmer months. We brought our own food to save money, but the working farm offers a bacon and eggs package that I've heard is wonderful. I almost don't want the secret to get out, as we will for sure try to get back here next season 😍
Special note for travel trailers: the two track dirt road on the farm is lumpy, so be prepared for a slow drive into the site.

We had a great time! Luke and his family are incredibly hospitable and we loved meeting them and their animals! The campsite was secluded and serene. Good hikes nearby. We hope to come back! Also their meats are delicious

Our stay on Luke's farm turned out even better than expected. The family was friendly and helpful. The campsite was beautiful, and the surroundings are just what we were looking for. Very secluded, and deep in rustic nature. Luke was awesome and let us wander the farm and see the great work his family is doing there. Very impressive. He took the time to explain is innovative farming methods, and it was obvious these people take great pride in their land. Overall, a great experience, and I'd highly recommend this location. Thank you, Luke and family.

Little slice of heaven
Absolutely wonderful spot for a weekend getaway. The site itself is very isolated and peaceful on a still pond. We took the kayaks out every night after dinner and saw a beaver and countless frogs. The location is convenient for North Country Trail hikes.
Luke’s farming practice is the future we all need. Be sure to say hello to the farm animals nearby, and nourish yourself with the fresh eggs and meats.
Future guests may want to bring a folding table & chairs as there is not the traditional picnic table set up.

Away from it all
Loved that this location was secluded. Could not see another human in sight! It was very close to the water and views were fabulous.
I do not think it is appropriate to advertise this site for trailers. But it is an AMAZING tent site!

Awesome Experience at Beaver Lodge
The campsite was excellent- a beautiful view of the lake. It was very private, and we really got to feel like we were getting away from it all. We got a great night sky on the weekend we were camping. We stayed early September, and the mosquitoes were minimal. Be prepared for very primitive toilet at this site. The site host was very friendly and helpful, showed us around his property, and sent us home with some amazing meat that we purchased from his farm store. I will come here again!

This place is simply amazing! Luke gave us a mind blowing tour of his farm, the animals were people safe and many friendly. No smells and One mosquito came to visit per night. Really feel recharged after my trip.

A gem!
Gorgeous farmland, extremely private and peaceful. Frogs at night, songbirds in the morning. Perfection. Luke couldn’t have been a more gracious and welcoming host. We grabbed their meats and had an amazing dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend!

Very mixed feelings about camp.
The stay here was ok. The kayak on the lake was probably the best this site has to offer other then that it’s a good place to go for no sleep , some swampy bull frogs and a whole lotta insects. The lakes are small still water lakes with brain/dick eating amoebas. The host was very friendly and very kind. The ecosystem and territorial waters surrounding the camp sites are what takes away from the appeal of the campsite itself. These stars tho

The site on the lake was beautiful and nicely secluded. It has everything you’ll need for a few nights including some two-tracks that were very nice walking. Wildlife was plentiful around us and the sounds at night were incredible. Great spot I’d definitely come back!

Beautiful property - quiet & easy
This was our first Hip Camp experience and it was perfect. The camp site is easy to get to, Luke’s Dad swung by with our meat package and to explain a few things about the site, and the site was quiet and beautiful. The chemical toilet was cleaner than any portapotty I’ve ever used! We would absolutely go back.

Our family had a GREAT TIME. Luke and his family were wonderful hosts, and provide a beautiful site for enjoying a rustic camping experience. A return visit for us is a definite probability!
