Thank you for making our first year of hosting a great one and making us one of the top three Michigan Hipcamp places to visit in 2022! Welcome to our little slice of heaven along the Grand River in Grand Haven, Michigan. Wooded waterfront property is at the end of a private, residential, two track/gravel road. Bring your travel trailer, van, RV, rent ours or pitch a tent and set up camp. Property is adjacent to Connor Bayou County Park and is surrounded by natural wetlands. Perfect place to unwind, chill, enjoy the fresh air and picture perfect sunsets. Boating, swimming, jet skis, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing are just a few of the things to enjoy on the water. Bring your own toy or rent from nearby establishments. One of many public boat launches is just a couple minute ride and Connor Bayou County Park has a kayak specific boat launch. You can also drop them in at the very west end of our property right from shore. If interested, we have four single person kayaks available to rent for our Hipcamp guests. One of which is a good for fishing or general kayaking. Has spots for two fishing poles. See "Extras". Hiking, biking and wildlife, bird/eagle watching are also in the area. Spring Lake, Lake Michigan, beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Holland is about 30 minutes south and also has a cute downtown, craft beers, and beaches. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 20 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is only 30 minutes North in Muskegon. There are also many wineries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan. And many blueberry farms around too. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.

One Grand Place
Beautiful (Grand) place right on the Grand river. There are three sites. One has full hookup and a pad. The other two are grass. We had all three so it was like our own private family camping area. Hosts were very attentive. welcome gifts and some firewood. Nice.

Wonderful sunrise/sunset
Camping was great at Doug and Kerri’s property. The sunrise and sunset were absolutely beautiful. The water wasn’t as clean as I thought it was going to be to swim in but it was still nice to be on some water.

Site 1 - One Grand Place - Electric & Water
Relaxing place with lots of birds.
Doug & Kerri's was a great place to spend 3 nights. Doug met us nearby & we followed him to the site where he explained everything about the campsites & area so well. The view is very nice, especially the sunsets. We also appreciated the S'mores kit we were given when we arrived. We were happy there were no other campers when we were there & our dog really enjoyed having the space to roam & explore; he really appreciated cooling off in the river. We got there on Sunday afternoon & there was a lot of motorboat traffic on the river. It quieted down during the week. If you want it more peaceful, I'd suggest you avoid the weekends in the summer. We highly recommend Hoffmaster State Park. The short hike through the woods is gorgeous (if buggy) & leads to an amazingly beautiful beach on Lake Michigan. Kerri & Doug have thought of everything. There's a very clean porta-jon as well as solar showers & a private shower enclosure.

Wonderful riverside getaway!
Doug and Kerri have a beautiful river front location. We were very impressed with the setup, they've obviously put a lot of time, money, thought and love into making it into an exceptional camping experience. And while it's very convenient to Grand Haven and all of its attractions and beaches, try not to miss sunset over the river from the comfort of your own camp site. The sites are spacious, level and quite frankly awesome. Water, electric (30 amp and a 110 outlet), picnic table and fire ring at each site. The site is also mostly quiet, as it is on the end of a dead end private drive. I say mostly because on beautiful weekend days you can expect a fairly brisk amount of boat traffic on the river, but that did not bother us. It is really a small price to pay for all that you get here. All in all you really can't ask for much more. Doug and Kerri were wonderful hosts, Doug met us personally to show us where everything is and made sure we were comfortable with all the amenities and hookups, and Kerri was awesome to speak to online always quick with answers to our questions. We highly recommend One Grand Place, we were so impressed we are already planning a return trip when we can carve more than just a weekend get away. Oh, and we drove five and a half hours to get there and won't hesitate to do it again. Thanks Doug and Kerri for sharing with us your little slice of heaven.
