Favorite HipCamp so far
Bill and Janis's land is amazing! It's just a quick jaunt down the road to Charlevoix which is convenient. Finding the campsite was very easy as it was clearly marked. I enjoyed the hiking trails and exploring the land a bit. The campsite itself was well stocked with fire starting materials, and there's a porta potty there. They have obviously put some love into making the site what it is. They were courteous enough to ask if I needed anything but with everything they provided I was all squared away. I would recommend it to other people and would like to return myself!

Wonderful experience
This was a beautiful site with so much space. It was wonderful to be able to set up wherever and just enjoy nature. Having the site to ourselves was a great bonus.
Bill and Janis were wonderful hosts and the love they have for their land is obvious. They are there when you need them and not at all intrusive. The shed is full of books and games. The porta potty was the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to visit again!

Charlevoix Acres
My second year at Charlevoix acres was as good as or better than the first! The trout have gotten larger, and the other animal more numerous. There is a particularly bold Tom turkey who seems to favor the campsite and was a joy in the morning. This trip I discovered the amazing cycling in the area with beautiful trails by Lake Michigan ranging 20 miles or more uninterrupted. Highly recommend!

Peaceful with delightful amenities
It was charming from the minute I saw the welcoming sign. Way exceeded expectations even though I was expecting it to be really nice. It was a private peaceful haven. I felt very safe. Besides all of the delightful amenities the owners have done a lot of work maintaining the trails. I saw three deer on the property. I liked this place so much that I stayed 2 extra days. I’d love to come back!

This place was magical! Beautiful property, large well kept campsite, toys for the kids, hiking trails, clean portapotty... everything was perfect. My only complaint is that I didn't get to stay long enough!

Staying here was amazing, beautiful trails with tons of wildlife and it was super quiet. Very convenient to charlevoix or petosky. A really perfect site for either relaxing or exploring.

Beautiful Site!
My friends and I had a great time at Charlevoix Acres! The site was beautiful and secluded - I didn’t expect to have the whole site to ourselves! Bill and Janis were also very hospitable, and I love that they included some necessities and entertainment in the tool shed. Overall, it was a great first experience with HipCamp, and I’d love to return in the future.

Thank you Bill and Janis!! We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The campsite is secluded and surrounded by nature, and has been kept very clean by previous campers and the hosts. Bill and Janis are absolutely wonderful, and helped us out big time when we ran into car trouble. The site is a 15 minute drive from Antrim Creek Natural Area which offers a great beach on lake Michigan. I wish we had more time to explore the trails around the campsite, as well as some of the local art and artisan galleries in the area. There's a fire pit with a tripod grill we used to cook hot dogs and two picnic tables which come in very handy. The port-a-potty was very clean and gets cleaned every week. There's also a little shed with lawn games and some books, and Bill and Janis provided some jugs of water, soap and a basin to wash hands in. For my daughter's first time camping, this was just the right balance of rustic amenities to help her get used to sleeping under the stars. We definitely want to come back!!

Amazing...
This was my first time using Hipcamp and it couldn't have been easier or nicer. The space is huge and very well cared for. The property is beautiful and great for walks. I slept out in the open (lucky no rain) so I could see the stars. It was beautiful. The pond is great for feeding fish and reading a book. Everything you could need; it was available. It was safe, peaceful, and just stunning. I had my friends come to visit me there and we hiked and played games (lots of things are there to keep you busy... games, books, firewood,....). I almost don't want to say too much because I would love to keep it my secret spot, but it is so great I can't help myself. This is a big area and would be great for families. The hosts were very friendly and also respectful on my space. Thank you so very much for a great time. Hope to see you again soon.

Wonderful
Charlevoix acres was beyond lovely. Very secluded and quiet with abundant trails and beautiful natural scenery. It seemed like I could just walk forever without running out of mower pathways. The site was large and well stocked with wood and activities. The port-a-John was clean. It was a truly wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to book again and plan on spending a whole day exploring the land, I didn’t even have time to feed the fish and watch their antics there was so much else to see.

Exceptional!
An absolutely WONDERFUL secluded spot. Owners were exceptional and it was very obvious they put a lot of thought into the spot so that campers can focus on enjoying nature!! Lots of cute little spots and trails. This was my first HipCamp experience and Bill/Janis made it one to remember.
