Lodge, Kitchen and Dining Hall
Huge kitchen and fun indoor space!
SO great to have a large, well-equipped kitchen for our use and the entire lodge to dine in and enjoy! Makes camping so much easier and more fun/flexible (e.g., build a fire if it rains, eat indoors, play piano and do puzzles for entertainment, etc.). A joy to be here, as always.

Wonderful! Rustic and simple, but all that we needed for a weekend of peace in the woods. Bathhouses, pond, tables and firewood/fire pit are all excellent amenities!

Lodge, Kitchen and Dining Hall
Kitchen&lodge make a great weekend!
Simple, welcoming facilities that made our weekend wonderful! The kitchen, lodge and dining hall allowed us to prepare and store delicious food all weekend (camping is WAY easier with a fridge, a stove and a sink!!), giving us even more ways to share community with friends joining us and to enjoy our time without worrying about coolers and camping stoves and instant coffee fixed by a fire. We also played games and did puzzles in the lodge when it rained, with kids running around inside during thunderstorms. The facilities are not fancy, but we truly loved getting to cook and enjoy shared meals, gather indoors by the fire and on the porch, and spend time visiting in a small group even when the weather didn't cooperate with outdoor adventures. So great to be able to use this space that is so clearly beloved and inhabited by the joy of generations of young people!

Sarah's Cabin (#12) at Catoctin
A beautiful, calming spot
Wonderful! Time spent at Catoctin Quaker Camp is both simple and magical. The cabin is not fancy at all but entirely what we wanted -- clean, safe, enclosed with screens and open to the woods around. Waking up to the layered songs of birds in the morning and falling asleep to the peeps of frogs at night is calming beyond words. The bathhouses are clean and well designed. The entire property is beautiful and welcoming, allowing us to feel that we had gone light years away from our daily lives, without traveling far at all. We had everything we needed to be at home in the woods. We'll be back!

James' Cabin (#15) at Catoctin
Nice open cabins, beautiful grounds
My friends and I booked cabins "James" and "Tom" for a three-night stay and there was plenty of room for the six of us (we slept in one and used them other for food prep/ coolers/board games). It was mid April so probably just the start of the season and we had the whole area to ourselves. The parks are a quick drive away, so is the town of Thurmont (for groceries, etc). The cabins were pretty open to the air, so you could hear the frogs in the night and wake up to the birds in the morning. Light camping mattresses were good for the bunks/beds. It was a short walk but a lovely trail to the bathhouse.
Do note that the drive into these and the adjacent one has quite a steep ditch and is pretty rocky; we were ok with the vehicles we brought, but I wouldn't recommend driving up it with a regular car.

A peaceful respite (even in rain)
So lovely! The setting is peaceful, welcoming and still. The cabins are simple but everything we need. The welcome and help with things like firewood were perfect. We will come back again and again to this place of respite.

Little Birthday Place
We had a small little gathering for my birthday. Having access to the lagoon and fire pit and ping pong table in a beautiful, private setting is a rare treat. It made the day very relaxing and special for all ages. The on sight caretaker is lovely too.

Good cabin and close to facilities.
My family and I enjoyed our time. David and Dylan were helpful. It's a basic but spacious cabin. This one is close to bathroom/shower facilities which were clean and in good condition. Lots of things to do on the property and several parks to drive to.

We had a lovely time, Dylan was quick to answer any questions. Our cabin was perfect and the camp is beautiful. Had a brief but intense rain storm and the cabin kept us and our gear totally dry.

It's a really beautiful spot in the woods, with conveniences right there. Dylan was very helpful whenever we needed something.
