Mark’s property was beautiful! Each campsite is easily accessible but private- there are other campers but you don’t hear or see them. The views and grounds are incredible. Thanks for hosting us Mark!

Mark was a very helpful and welcoming host! My friends and I had a wonderful time even despite the fact it rained for one of the days! Mark recommended us a few local spots to check out during the rain and we had a blast.

The Bald Eagle site was beautiful, views of a frog pond and not too many bugs! We were very close to the car and you could hear other campers as they were walking to their site, but it was visually screened and felt very private. Saw lots of wildlife!

Wildlife lover’s paradise
What a great camping experience! My site was very private, and absolutely gorgeous. I’m a professional naturalist and nature educator, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much wildlife in one spot! In one evening I saw five otters, a beaver, and a bittern (as well as many other frogs and more common critters) without ever moving from my site. All this while being just moments from my car (which I couldn’t see from the site due to the dense surrounding vegetation). I also enjoyed the high bush blueberries growing a few feet from my tent 😊. Much more naturey than most car camping experiences. Very special!

Beautiful area. Sadly the bugs were a bit out of control, but that’s a regional and timing thing (not a surprise!). The site was well maintained, secluded, and had beautiful views. Local attractions were fun and I would definitely recommend visiting this area of Maine 💖.

BABBLING BROOK SITE
Beautiful Babbling Brook Site!
Wow, cannot say enough wonderful things about this experience. This was our first time camping and this site exceeded every expectation we could have imagined. Each campsite is a private sanctuary, safe and tucked away like a forest paradise. We spent the whole day in the campsite and couldn't have been happier and more peaceful, just exploring the brook, listening to the birds, and gathering firewood. Honestly we had the best day of our life!!
Mark was incredibly lovely, so helpful and gracious, and it's obvious how much care and detail has been put into the property. He gave us a wagon to transport our things and walked us to our site. He also told us about the strawberry patch he just added to the property and potentially hosting a music festival in the coming years! We have decided to make camping there a yearly tradition and cannot wait to go back next time :)

BABBLING BROOK SITE
Mark’s land is very beautiful, alongside a pond and salt marsh and with a large plant nursery out front. Campsites are very spaced out and totally private, we didn’t know anyone else was there our whole stay. Mark is a nice guy, and walked us to the campsite when we first arrived. Definitely bring an extra bottle of bug spray for the hike to the campsite, but Mark sprays for bugs at the sites, which seemed to help a lot.

BABBLING BROOK SITE
Babbling Brook Camping
Beautiful, serene and secluded--exactly what I was looking for in my camping experience. I was at the Babbling Brook location and the walk in was perfectly manageable and made even easier with the cart provided by Mark. I liked Mark's relaxed attitude and he was very flexible when allowing me to delay my trip by a day due to severe thunderstorm warnings (although it ended up not even raining a drop). The sites themselves are well thought out and perfectly located. I never saw or heard a single other camper--although I know there were some on either side of me. The nights are dark as pitch and the stars shine through the trees in a way that makes a city-dweller reevaluate life and contemplate eternity. Thanks Mark!

Secluded tent spot in the forest
We had a lovely time in a very secluded tent site in the forest. Enjoyed our stay and would come for a repeat visit. Our site was a short walk from the car, easy to transport belongings back and forth, and we really enjoyed georgetown and the neighboring islands.

I loved tent camping on Mark's land. The campsites are spaced out nice and we even had a brook all to ourselves where my two kids could explore nature. It was so very peaceful. We also had access to an outside toilet! Definitely pack bug spray it is maine after all. Mark is also adding a strawberry field to this property! I'll definitely be back next year.

Such a beautiful spot as Mark is super helpful! Did a solo camp at the Morning Mist site and had such a connecting experience with all the surrounds. Did a lot of exploring and saw many birds and wildlife out here. There are plenty of trails and coves that open out to the water as well. Will definitely be back.

BALD EAGLE
The campground is beautiful and private, and is located conveniently close to surrounding towns so it’s also a good jumping off point for exploring the area. We stayed at a site on the water, which was small but perfect for the two of us, and had a great view. Although we’re used to camping without bathroom facilities, the toilets are a nice touch, and they are well maintained. Due to our late-ish ETA plus rainy and cold weather, Mark kindly offered to cancel and refund our stay, and while we appreciated the offer, we wanted to camp and we’re glad we did! The following morning we explored the entire campground, and there are many beautiful sites, all of which are secluded and nicely maintained. Mark was a great host, and he communicated well. We’d definitely stay again the next time we’re in the area.

Good Location
The proximity to Reid State Park was our interest in staying here. A good alternative to a more generic campground.
