beautiful quiet location away from the hustle and bustle. outdoor shower was a nice change from the ordinary and very well kept. only met James but was in touch with Scooter via the app. both friendly and easy to communicate with. thank you for sharing with us.

Such a beautiful place and property, with beautiful people, plants, and scenery. The outdoor shower was amazing. The location is great for access to Kailua and Waimanalo.

Smelly Smelly Shower

The outdoor shower had a HORRIBLE sewage smell. That’s a hard thing to overlook when this is one of the more expensive shared lodging sites on Hipcamp. The shipping containers also got a little stuffy at night and had a musty smell to them. It needed a window for some airflow. Lastly, access to drinking water was just a dirty outdoor sink and a refilled gallon jug of water (that was probably just sink water). I would try a new Hipcamp site before staying here again.

Absolutely the most beautiful view of stunning mountains and the ocean/islands! Such a pleasant stay! Quiet and clean facilities and there weren’t even mosquitos during our stay! For camping, you pitch your tent anywhere in the flat grass behind the covered patio area. Slept with the sweet sound of birds though nothing that kept us up. Great host who let us taste fruit from the farm.

Definitely recommend. Awesome location, fun setup and totally underselling the Jimmy experience. The tour of the farm, sampling of fruit and herbs and naturalist advice were a fun bonus. Mahalo!

5 stars – Peaceful, Clean, and Beautiful Spot! I had a great time staying at this campground! The site was clean and well-maintained, with a beautiful view of both the ocean and mountains and a great shower setup. It’s in an ideal location—close to both the beach and the mountains. The host was friendly and helpful, and I especially loved the little touches like the string lights and the peaceful drizzle at night. It felt very private and quiet during my stay (I happened to be the only camper at the time), so I can’t say how it is when the site is full, but I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

The farm has great views, and is peaceful and relaxing. James was such a gracious host. His knowledge of medicinal and so many other plants is amazing. Such an abundance of fruit!! This is definitely of the beaten path, and a chill way to spend time outdoors on the east side of the island. We would definitely stay again.

Great Spot!

I really enjoyed my stay in Unit 1! Everything was clean and it was so peaceful on the property. I messaged when I arrived and the owner quickly arrived to show me around. There are great views everywhere and I loved being so close to the base of the mountains. It made for the coolest outdoor shower I’ve used too as you face the mountains in it. Highlights of the stay were: - James. He’s very knowledgeable about plants and brought me great things to smell and eat. It really made the place special. - Frankie’s Nursery nearby for fantastic juice and a tropical fruit sampler (as well as whole fruit). You can walk the nursery and grove, or just enjoy at their picnic tables. - walking the property. I didn’t do as much of it as I would like, but there’s so many fruit trees to sample, shade, and some great views. I even saw a family of feral pigs.

Surreal

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here last year so much we just had to come back! This year we brought his brother and future wife with us because we know they would also fall in love with the place the way we did. Fabulous quiet place to chill out

Absolutely loved our stay. Such a beautiful place on Oahu. Love the mountain backdrop. At night you could just sit outside and listen to the wildlife sounds. Each morning we’d just watch the sun rise. Would’ve loved to stay longer. If you’re up for a less traditional stay this is it. Next time we come to Oahu we’ll stay here

Beyond Exceptional

Although the accommodations are exactly as described with clean facilities and a beautiful view, our favorite part of the whole stay was James! We are so glad that we by-passed the city experience and visited this site instead. We learned more than we could've ever hoped about local agriculture and the community (we even had a chance to try fresh produce!!). It was truly a remarkable experience and far exceeded anything my family could've envisioned.

The property here is beautiful, natural and incredible morning sounds of varieties of birds. The container was clean, stocked with needed towels, sunscreens and beach mats. The container has AC, and we needed it. It can feel a little stuffy and there are no windows. Sometimes we kept our door open for fresh air and breezes. We never met Scooter or Kevin, but thoroughly enjoyed James, the plant scientist who shared so much information with us about local plants, things to do, and shared amazing fresh fruit with us! The location is great for South end activities.

We are so glad we chose to stay here. Camping was so nice with the bathroom, including warm shower; also the pavilion with mini fridge, toaster oven, & utility sink. The Waimanalo area is a great location. The beaches are great, with nearby grocery stores & restaurants too.

Beautiful mountainside property wit

The area is very tranquil, it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds singing and absolutely serenity. The room (unit 1), was comfortable and a good size for two people. We missed having windows to enjoy the view and fresh air but the air conditioner was a nice touch and kept us comfortable. Be mindful that the bathroom facilities are shared and outdoors. We had a few chilly nights with wind and rain which made the outdoor shower an added adventure, but there was hot water and the facilities are well maintained. The morning views in both directions were wonderful to wake up to.

We enjoyed our stay! The place was exactly as described! James was very fun to visit and share horticulture experiences with! A wonderful way to enjoy the evenings and mornings with mostly just the critters in the forest making noise!

The property is beautiful! We arrived really late at night but first thing in the morning took advantage of the beautiful scenery and a nice walk with beautiful views. Loved the fruit! Kevin and Scooter were great communicators.

Great spot right below the mountains with stunning views of the ocean! Kevin and Scooter made us feel very welcome. We felt safe here while also being connected to the nature surrounding us - even getting to try some of the fruits on the property. The train car was a cozy setup and we still had access to a shower, toilet, fridge, and toaster oven. Great “glamping”! Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Just Wow!

This was probably one of the best Hipcamp stays I’ve done. The views of the mountain range were breathtaking, especially when you’re using the outdoor shower, and the container you stay in is well furnished and clean. Kevin and James both did a wonderful job telling us about the land and their plants. And the family also own a great restaurant that provides fabulous food. Great location and great vibe. Definitely would recommend!

Our favourite stay.

Our favourite stay in Oahu. The farm was beautiful and had amazing views in all directions. Opening your door to the base of the mountain every morning was breathtaking. Scooter and Kevin were great hosts, very prompt responses and easy to follow directions to the property. Kevin meet us on arrival to show us around and suggested loads of activities around the area for our stay there. The hikes were some of the best we have ever completed. You also are able to free roam around the property, the caretaker showed us many plants with medicinal purposes and local fruits. The facilities are great, the outdoor shower has breathtaking views of the mountains and the private toilets are clean and comfortable. The container room felt homely and the bed was to die for. This was our favourite stay in Oahu and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
