Piney Hills Campground

I had a very relaxing time at Lisa and Jame’s Hipcamp. They greeted me when I arrived, and were very welcoming. I stayed at site #5 (which had a covered platform) which was very spacious. The bath house was very clean, and the shower nice and warm. I have AT&T, and I didn’t get service at the site (which wasn’t important to me), but a quick walk to the bath house and I could get cell service and also connect to their WiFi. Overall, a nice relaxing getaway to unplug!

Great retreat

We tent camped on platform and shelter and it was great, for add on when we arrived the tent was set up and firewood and golf cart was waiting for us to take my wife and I on some time we needed to get away. Love the trails and the animals they have . Lisa & James will make you feel at home.

We loved our stay at piney hills. Would stay here again. Loved being able to feed all the farm animals and also walk all the trails on property. Nice bathrooms and showers too!

Site #7- Secluded Primitive

Loved the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful evenings and beautiful sunrise. We were actually in Lot 17, right across from the bathrooms, which was nice since we were sleeping in a camper shell. The only drawback was that there were no regular outlets, it’s only equipped for RV’s. But overall wonderful sta!

It was private and quiet. We arrived late at night and it was great that we could just go straight to the site. The directions were spot-on and the bath house was clean and functional. We also had the bonus experience of two emu in the field next to the campsite.

The property is so pretty and camp site 7 is very nice since the pine trees basically surround the site. The ponies were so adorable, bathroom clean and stocked. Hot showers and laundry on property. I wish I had more time at the property. Definitely a 10 of 10 experience

Very cool spot especially if you want to see the farm animals, it’s well kept and clean. We were there when it wasn’t busy but the camps sights are a pretty close so if you were to have neighbors you won’t have much privacy unless you’re inside. I would definitely recommend the host to include some utensils, cups, and bowls even plastics would be fine. Also grill tools even just a scrubber to clean it off. Aside from small gripes it was a great stay very pleased would stay again!

Absolutely loved it! We would recommend to anyone! The animals were the highlight! Lisa and James were wonderful and gave us a ride over to the Five Point Berry winery! 10/10 recommend!

An Unforgettable, Relaxing Escape

We had such an incredible stay at the Tiny Red Cabin! The peace and quiet were exactly what we were looking for, it was the perfect escape from everyday life. We loved cooking out back while taking in the beautiful, open views of the sky, and walking the property trails at sunset was absolutely stunning. Lisa and James were amazing hosts and made us feel extremely welcome from the start. They were always happy to help, and Lisa went above and beyond by offering to set up a wine tasting for us, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back!

Bathrooms are very clean but not heated for winter. Lisa and James were very helpful when my granddaughters’ rented RV’s heat went out in the middle of the night. They came right away to fix it.

Furnished RV w/ Pasture View

My husband and I stayed Thanksgiving weekend. Very friendly & responsive hosts. Ample space at our site. We had a problem with our slide upon arrival; James took a look but was unable to help but did give suggestions of someone who could. Bath houses were clean!!! Site had its own grill, table, fire pit. Farm animals were very friendly. My only negative was the hot water pressure was not good so I couldn’t take advantage of the showers But everything else was super nice!!

We absolutely loved our experience here. The hosts, Lisa and James were very friendly, along with their sweet dog. They have tons if animals you can feed. They have cute bathrooms. The place is quiet. We'd definitely recommend and we'd definitely come back.

Camping with animals & great hosts!

We had an amazing time. It was supposed to be a quick overnight stop. We got in late, 10pm. We had little mix up with the site. James & Lisa came right out. Took great care of us and even helped us get hooked up. The next morning came over to check on us too. Amazing hosts. Very attentive and kind. Then the location.. in the daylight is amazing. We all had fun taking the golf cart to see the animals and through the trails. The amenities were clean and lots of hot water. The property is beautiful and fun. Will definitely stay here again. The kids are already asking to go back on our way home.

My husband and I booked this place last minute for a cute camping getaway and we had an amazing experience. We got to see their farm animals and feed them. They had clean facilities and were very accommodating to whatever we needed. 10/10. Would absolutely go back.

Great Campground!

Fantastic little campground with extremely helpful hosts. Here’s what I liked about it. There was lighting, but not too much. Sites were roomy with a small fire pit, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. The individual bathrooms were clean, warm and convenient. A hot shower was great to get after a long day on the road. It was quiet with a few outdoor country sounds, like owls, a dog in the distance and a rooster at sunup. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Site #4 - Platform in the Pines

Great location and site. The animals are friendly and provide a great soundtrack to your stay. The site included a raised, wooden tent pad which was great. There are a good amount of trash cans available and the area is incredibly well maintained. The outhouse is in great condition and provides enough hot water for a good shower while the laundry facility provides an incredible resource and a free outlet. I felt very safe and had a wonderful experience. 10/10

Camping in the A frame was absolutely perfect. We arrived late and left early as it was just a stop on our travel but it was exactly what we needed. The grounds were clean and quiet. The bed and bedding was more comfortable than most hotels. We used the AC in the A-frame for a little while but it cooled so well we ended up turning it off. The showers were huge in comparison to other campgrounds and they were very clean with hot water. Wish we could've stayed longer than the one night. We'll definitely go back on our next trip!

Hidden gem

A-Frame site #1

This was such a hidden gem! The cabin was adorable, clean, and close to a very nice bathhouse. We were right next to two friendly ponies, and a short walk from a variety of animals, which the kids loved feeding. The campground was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Lisa was so kind, and even brought us a bottle of wine because we were there to celebrate a birthday. We will absolutely be back!

A fabulous family experience

We have stayed at Piney Hills two fall seasons in a row now, and I can’t envision a year that we wouldn’t return. I love it (wife) because it is gated and I feel safe there, my husband loves it because it gets his wife out into nature (😂), and the kids love digging around for toads and bugs, and they love the farm animals so much. We’ve stayed both in an A frame and a tent site. If you’re staying in a tent and you want sleep, there are roosters at the farm so bring some ear plugs, they crow early! Ha! ;) Lisa is so sweet to the kids, and you can tell they just love providing a great place for families and everyone to enjoy a little slice of nature. 10/10.
