Unicorn spot on the beach!
Perfect RV spot!!! This spot is a unicorn. We hated to leave knowing a private spot right on the beach is so rare. We will definitely be back! Great Electric, water, sewer, and WiFi! We love the area and the beach was all to ourselves.

Semi-private with great views
Overall we had a great stay here. We would definitely love to stay again. The question I was asked is: “Would you recommend this site to your friends”?
My response: I would recommend the site to some of my friends, but not to others. Here’s why:
1. The site while very level (we literally backed I with no need to level our trailer) could benefit from more gravel. This would significantly reduce the sand you will have everywhere. We stayed at another “on the beach” location the week before and got almost no sand in our camper and hookups because they had an adequate amount of gravel.
2. Below the shower head is so rusted out that it literally sprays you in the face with a high pressure stream that’s downright dangerous depending on your height. The owners stated they’d have it repaired at the beginning of our 9 night stay, but that didn’t happen. To be fair it was a holiday weekend and they don’t live close.
3. They stated the garbage is picked up twice a week on Saturday and Monday in the welcome message we received. We arrived on Tuesday and the can was overflowing with trash to the point the lid wouldn’t close. Saturday came and went and the trash was still overflowing. They said they have issues with the waste company not picking up. They may want to reconsider the placement of their sign which blocks the view of the trash can holder.
Aside from these nitpicking things….fantastic views, easy access to the beach, semi-private though right off the highway.

Fun Family Trip
A lovely beach escape! We come each year to scallop in the bay, but spending our down time on the beach was a perfect addition to our annual summer tradition. Our kids obviously had a blast and us parents enjoyed the ease of the site. The shower was much needed and appreciated to rinse sand off all our feet before entering the camper. Despite being close to 30E, the road noise was minimal. My favorite treat was viewing the stars at night on the deck - what a beautiful night sky and the most shooting stars I've ever counted. What a fun trip! Oh, and the kayak launch is quite handy to this site for those who want to explore the bay.

Perfect low key site. It was a last minute spring break getaway. The location was great for our family and dogs. Very little foot traffic.

Perfect beach spot!
We loved this special spot on the beach! A breathtaking view and no one on the beach! It felt like "old Flordia" with a quaint coastline. The weather was a bit rainy so we heading into the town of Apalachicola. What a fun place explore! We would definitely come back!

The beachfront site was even better than we had hoped. There are no other campers or houses adjoining, just your rig and the sand that leads to the beach
Great sunsets with the extras of a full hookup site. Clean and simple. Highly recommend. I do suggest that you ask about the camera monitor before you
sign up.

Peaceful Ocean Camping
We loved our 3-night stay at Kevin and Shannon’s place. We walked the beach several times a day and found delicious food at the local restaurants. We saw dolphins swimming, and the sunsets were spectacular. We were looking for a peaceful, private getaway, and this was definitely it. We are so grateful for the experience that these hosts offered.

We absolutely loved this spot. The beach is beautiful and not very crowded. I felt like I hit the lottery with my beach finds. I found my first perfect sand dollar...very little and cute. The shells are incredible and a starfish washed up on shore up by the rocks. During the day traffic can be a little busy/loud and the spot is right off the road. However, once you reach the dunes, you can't hear the road at all. Plus, it dies down around sunset and the place is perfectly quiet other than the waves on the beach. I saw other RV lots for rent in the area and we would choose this one again every time.

The site was nice and level. It was our first camping trip in our new RV Also easy to hook up and the nice boardwalk and deck to sit in our camp chairs and watch the waves !!! Only thing you couldn’t get onto beach if the tide was in the steps ended in the water But it’s a great site !!

Kevin and Shannons place was amazing!. Literally no more than 50 yards from the Gulf lf Mexico. We couldn't get lver just how close we were to the water. Sunsets are beautiful the pictures just dont do it justice. My family and I had a fantastic week and we were sad to leave.

Perfect RV site directly on the beach, was literally steps to the ocean. Very private, relaxing and laid back. Site was provided with picnic table, outdoor shower and fire pit. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay. This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and we will be returning. Shannon was very helpful and answered all my questions.

Have your own slice of paradise
Staying at Escape to the Cape truly is like having your own slice of paradise. If you are looking to escape the crowds and enjoy a relaxing, laid back vacation, this is the place for you. We had a huge section of beach to ourselves. Our boys enjoyed building giant sandcastles and playing in the sand. The weather was perfect. Sunsets were breathtaking, and the water is clear and teeming with life. We saw crabs, rays, hermit crabs, tons of dolphins, loggerhead tracks where a new nest had just been laid, and we even saw a few sharks (most of them babies that were caught by fishermen just down the beach from us). One of the manta rays even jumped out of the water with its full body in the air. It was a moment we will never forget! We also enjoyed using our red flashlights to hunt for ghost crabs as a family on the beach at night.
Kevin and Shannon have truly thought of everything that you need to make your stay wonderful. They were so responsive to our questions both before and during our stay. They truly care about their guests and want to make sure your stay is everything you hope it will be. I highly recommend this little slice of paradise. It’s an experience like no other.
