The Stargazer A frame cabin we stayed in was incredible. The sites are relatively close together but are extremely well placed so you still get privacy and good views. We made a fire in the firepit and lounged in the hammock before going to bed. The weather got gloomy but it was so cozy inside that it wasn't a problem, even without heat/electricity. After the storm had passed we went outside in the dark and the sky was absolutely gorgeous and starry. Very peaceful and much needed.

Beautiful land, breathtaking views day and night. Easy to get to. Only a 40 minute gorgeous drive from Red Rocks where we saw the last ever Tipper show. Super romantic and just lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

A perfect getaway, comfy, cozy, and quiet. We woke up to mule deer and birds and took an incredible nap during a light rainstorm. David was kind and communicated with us with no issues at all.

It’s a fine place. The grounds need to be cleared and maintained a bit more. When we visited, the picnic table had tall grass growing underneath and around it. None of the tables were level. All of the paths were too narrow through tall grass. We did not use the shower after seeing privacy was a little less than desired. A table or prep area near the fire pit would be a good addition.

Great spot. The tent platform was a perfect place to pitch my set up. Deer rabbits and tons of birds where about the whole time I was there. Gorgeous sunrise over the mountain in the morning. Had I not already made other plans further south I’d have stayed a few more days. Thanks

We loved staying at the basecamp A-frame for a night! The little cabin was beautiful, cozy, and quiet, and the views were excellent. The porta potty was super clean and the outdoor shower was really lovely and warm. Would definitely recommend for a getaway!

This spot was lovely. I hung out with a deer eating grass like 20 feet away and got some beautiful sunsets. The videos were really helpful in knowing exactly what to expect and where to go.

This is honestly the best glamping experience ever! We stayed in Basecamp, although the sun can be a bit tough in the morning opening up the A frame helps a lot! There's a porta potty, a sink to wash your hands, and the property is very beautiful. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a great time at David's aframe. We ended up upgrading to the aframe last minute, and he was so flexible and accommodating. It's also only 30 mins from Red Rocks, and the location is beautiful. I would recommend and visit again!

This is the perfect little A-frame! It sits on the property behind the house, which you can partially see from the A-frame if you look behind you. I was having a hard time understanding that from the listing but as a solo traveler it felt great to know that the house is right there. However! If you are not looking at the house, you would not know it’s there! It is so peaceful and beautiful looking out to the mountains. The bed is super comfy too. I used the outdoor shower which was great. All around a wonderful place I hope to stay again!

We absolutely loved our time in the Stargazer and being on David’s land. The hosts and folks on the property were very welcoming. When we stayed there were two horses and couple of dogs around as well - it was delightful.

I loved staying at the stargazer! It was so nice to feel off grid while also having a bathroom and potable water access. It was easy to find and not too far away from anything you’d need. Highly recommend the short drive down the road to Canyon Coffee too. We will definitely be back!

The atmosphere of the place felt a bit neglected. While overall it was fine, it could be much better with a little more attention and care. The cabins were nice, and the showers as well, but having a portable toilet made it feel less hygienic. It would be much better if they could install a proper bathroom.
I also recommend adding some kind of shared sink for guests staying more than one night, so they can wash dishes or cooking utensils.
In my opinion, the place is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but it lacks some upkeep.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend basecamp. We were right on top of the hosts who were having guests over, so we had virtually no privacy. One of the few amenities, the hammock, was overgrown so we couldn’t enjoy it. The pictures made it look like it was more private, and there was no where else on the grounds to go that wasn’t someone else’s area. The instructions were confusing too, the owners suggested in their videos that firewood was provided and that there were outlets under the deck, but in the messages we were told to bring our own firewood and the outlets had been put up. We really didn’t get privacy until past 10pm. The campfire we’d made was directly behind the hosts deck where they were having guests over. I don’t mind a communal area, but the entire stay was spent next to our hosts. I couldn’t even change in the cabin since they were right there without getting in the corner (the windows face their deck). The cabin itself was very cute, perhaps the stargazer would’ve been a better experience.

Beautiful location way up in the mountains! It felt very wild, and we heard mountain lions at night - such an eerie sound! The tent platform was great, and there was even a little meditation spot under a tree there with crystals.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay, from the smooth check-in process to the cozy cabin, the helpful instructions, and the breathtaking views. Everything was as described, but we did encounter a minor inconvenience with the porta potty and the outdoor shower, which could have been more private. Additionally, the landscaping on the property could benefit from some attention. However, these minor inconveniences pale in comparison to the overall enjoyment of the stunning night sky. The cabin was designed to provide a romantic and enjoyable experience, and we thoroughly appreciated it.

We rented the tent platform & camped for 2 nights. The platform is well set up to rope or bungee your tent. It’s set up between two large trees & makes it feel really private. The property was easy to find, clean & well kept. The other guests were friendly & respectful. There is a communal fire ring & a really nice outdoor shower, which was great to relax in after a long day outdoors. The morning we left, there were at least 2 bears sniffing and growling around about 50yd away from our tent! We waited them out in the car for about 20 minutes before we could finish tearing down! It was a great experience, would recommend!

Peaceful spot to relax, with a beautiful mountain view and sounds of birds. It gets hot in the morning as the sun hits the cabin, so have morning hiking (or other) plans to get you out the door! The coffee shop down the road was great, the outdoor showers felt luxurious. Note there is no power in the cabin, and you may meet some spider friends near your bed. It's a rustic situation!
