Santa Barbara - Sky Mountain Dome
Great location, lovely hosts and adorable pups! The dome can get a bit chilly in the evening and warm during the day so prepare accordingly. Overall we had a great time and would love to visit again.

Loved our stay
We loved our stay at Zela’s dome! She was so welcoming and the dome itself was unlike anything we have experienced! We were in the hills and felt like upscale camping and could still see the ocean in the distance from the property. We wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely recommend the dome!

Dome is life!
Zelda’s dome was AMAZING! We had the best time enjoying the views, cooking in our cute little dome and hiking around Santa Bárbara. The other campers were so friendly, and I loved the outdoor shower! 10/10 recommend the dome for a romantic camping trip :)

Unique “Escape”
I booked this trip with some friends to watch the Perseids Meteor Shower - and we were not disappointed to say the least. Communication was great, unique and special property, and I will definitely be coming again. If you are hesitant to to book a stay at Zela’s place… don’t be ! :)

Domes are Fun!
Thanks for a great stay! Frankly the description is perfect so all the pros and cons are easy to imagine. Yes, the tiolet is a compost bucket outside so you need to be cool with that. (I’m not sure what the garden hose mention was about— I think there’s a private outdoor shower but we didn’t use it.) I think the lower clear windows does compromise some sense of privacy, especially at night, but it allows for great light during the day. The bed is on the hard side if you’re staying multiple nights BUT do you really trust the beds and sheets at even a fancy hotel? But again this is not a hotel. You are staying in a very unique situation that feels very welcoming and has great energy. Ideally we would have spent a little more time there and if we had been traveling with food it would have been awesome to cook a breakfast there and have a lazy Dome morning to recharge.

Santa Barbara - Sky Mountain Dome
We only stayed for a night but wished we stayed longer. We’ve always wanted to experience staying in a dome so this was definitely a fun first time. Zela and her family were nice. There’s another dome in the property, and the one we stayed at was right next to the main house, however our stay still felt very private. As far as the car noise from Hwy 154, we actually didn’t even notice it as much. You can definitely hear the cars but it’s not enough to keep you up at night or be a bother. At least it wasn’t for us. Would absolutely come back again and for a longer stay next time.

Glamping in a Dome
We had a amazing time in Zela's beautiful and unique dome. The interior design touches were stunning . Zela gave very detailed accurate directions and greeted us with a smile. The dome is tucked away on the mountain side so you feel very private. I especially loved all the rock formations , you could feel you were truly were on chumash Land!!

Fairy wonder dome!
What a charming hideaway! We loved our retreat in the geo dome in the hills above Santa Barbara. Zela was very communicative in advance, and Mila met us immediately on arrival for a quick orientation. The string lights contributed to a magical ambiance at night. The beds in the sleeping loft were very cozy warm (I burrowed in, while my guys tossed off covers as necessary. Although we brought sleeping bags these were not needed). The composting toilet frankly had the best view and was easily accessed from the dome. Note there is sound from Hwy 154 nearby but nothing jarring. There's another more rustic campsite up the slope, but we didn't see anyone until morning when they walked by; we had sufficient privacy. I appreciated the late checkout time which allowed us to linger for a relaxed Sunday breakfast. We enjoyed our quick retreat and would happily return.

Santa Barbara - Sky Mountain Dome
The geodome itself and the location in the Santa Barbara Mountains is SO beautiful. Zela has made the dome into a super cozy, amazingly decorated mini home right out of a travel magazine. Unfortunately there was a power outage (which apparently happens sometimes in the area) and the electricity out for the entirety of our stay, so we could not turn on any lights or use refrigerator, stove, outlets, etc. But the host did offer a partial refund and provided candles at night so that we were not completely in the dark. Despite this, I would definitely recommend the geodome to anyone and would gladly stay again! Super special experience, especially being able to see shooting stars at night and pick fresh fruit off the trees for breakfast in the morning. Thanks Zela!
