Prime location; downwind funk
About the site: We chose this site due to its prime location plus the reviews mentioned this being close to a small town with live music on weekends and access to a small grocery store. On all these factors, it delivered. The site is 15 minutes from the Yosemite YARTS shuttle, perfect. tucked behind the main street in Groveland, We enjoyed music in the background (not loud) but if you’re looking for silence then this might not be the site for you. Although the individual sites are located close and within view of one another, there weren’t many other visitors so we had plenty of privacy. Some sites are located close to the back of the restaurants and bars on the main strip, so be prepared for some potentially unpleasant smells if it’s hot and the wind blows the right direction. About the host: Roni was quick to respond when we had questions and so helpful when anything came up. Overall a good stay due to its prime location and responsive hosts. Be mindful of funky smells and music, but if that’s not a big deal for you, it’s a good place.

The location is great, close to Yosemite, in town and very near a hotel that was hosting a jazz quartet on their patio the night we arrived (a welcome surprise). Directions were clear and the site was as advertised. The only drawback was that some of the signage had fallen over and was face down on the ground at the front of the drive and at our site, and there was no one else there when we arrived to ask for clarification to make sure we were in the right place, which may usually not present a problem but did in our case. There are several other homes close by in the area, and we accidentally drove past the private drive for Ferretti Farm the first time through (“Hipcamp” sign was on the ground and not visible), in our 30-ft RV, which put us in the position to have to turn around in tight quarters (our fault, but a total accident). Unfortunately, a neighbor whose driveway we partially ended up in during our 3-point turn came out and screamed and swore at us to get out of his driveway. Which we were already trying to do, but there’s only so fast you can move in a big RV. That put us all (family of 4, including 2 children) on edge and dampened our enthusiasm for the rest of the night at the site. This neighbor is a stone’s throw away from the Hipcamp and seemed pretty hostile to confused out of towners, so it’s just something to be aware of. Maybe make very sure you don’t go in his driveway.

Everything went as expected. The port-a-potty was very clean and the outdoor sink was very convenient for brushing teeth. We saw some deer in the morning and hares at night.

Great spot! It really feels secluded and wooded even though you’re only a block from central Groveland. We took the bus in to Yosemite it worked perfect. Do watch for poison oak there. Also it’s a little tight backing the camper in but all in all a beautiful spot!

Roni Lynn was super accommodating when our timeline got thrown off and we arrived pretty late. Campsite was what we expected and provided a nice space for us to use for the night.

Dark and quiet.
The location is a block from some good places to eat. I saw deer walking through the property. The owners are working on making the sites more comfortable but I was fine with having peace and quiet... and trees, and very dark. That's what I like when I'm camping rather than being 5 feet away from other campers.

Pretty rough spot
Communication with Roni Lynn was great, the proximity to Yosemite NP was great, there is a functioning toilet, and the hipcamp has incredible potential. Sadly it stays at that. While we are self-sufficient campers and we knew the camp is being fixed up, there were multiple things that really put us off. We spent three nights here, and in that time never saw anybody, even though there is supposedly a camp host there, (their dogs were going crazy in a small trailer the whole three days though). The communal outdoor kitchen seems to never have been cleaned in the last few weeks, the trash was overflowing, there was dog poop strewn over seemingly all sites, the communal table and other parts of the exterior furniture are falling apart, and there are no tables at the individual sites. And then we get to the trailer home that houses the bathrooms. While the entrance is cute-ish, the whole thing is literally falling apart and would be a great location for a scary movie. The one room next to the entrance is filled with rubbish, and the bathroom, while functioning, hasn‘t been cleaned in quite a while. As the shower was quite gnarly and the hot water came out brownish, we decided not to use it, which made for a long 4 days. I don‘t intend to be mean towards the hosts with this review, just trying to put it out there as we experienced the stay.

Perfect spot to park a camper van between trips to Yosemite. The bathroom was clean (has a shower too!), the outdoor kitchen super convenient. This particular spot (site #1) even has a small private trail where my little campers could ‘hike’ every morning. Roni Lynn was super helpful in getting us booked.

I had a good night sleep here which means the world to me, but I was alone on the property aside from the residents. My spot was the only tent camping spot I would recommend (guieseppe). The others were very exposed to the general shared spaces on the property (road, outdoor kitchen etc) and would provide no privacy. It definitely looks like you are staying in a trailer park but pretty tidy around the property. The outdoor kitchen did not have hot water in the sink as described in the listing, but I love that old gas stove. There was a picnic table next to kitchen (kind of broken in places) and a bar with chairs (chairs were duct taped together). The bathroom was not cleaned but not horrible. It was in an old trailer and I never did see the second toilet. I think it would be hard to share all these common spaces with many other campers staying, especially during Covid. The canvas tent structures looked very nice from the outside and their settings were much more private. The location was excellent; very close to town if you wanted to stroll there. If you need just one night to crash and then head to the national park, this place works.

PERFECT first HipCamp experience!
This spot was perfect!! Roni Lynn described it perfectly in the listing, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The site is so close to town. We walked to grab dinner and drinks and caught some live music. 10/10 great for any camping adventure and we will definitely be back!

This is such a wonderful property. Clean, quiet, and a minute walk to downtown Groveland. I had the pleasure of glamping in one of the bell tents, which I have been wanting to do for years, and it was better than I hoped.! Super cozy and comfy and cool! I highly recommend this laid back Hipcamp. Roni is personable, hospitable and accommodating. A wonderful experience 😍

Yeah, I'll take it!
Less spacious than the picture, but really we just needed a place to rest after across-multiple-state driving and I really appreciated how quickly the folks running the place responded when I needed to make a last minute reservation. We went from looking at maybe another hour of driving to just being able to get some sleep! It was a relief to land somewhere quiet with good-enough restrooms and running water (including a kitchen sink) for cooking/cleaning.

The campsite is big enough for 5-6 tents, conveniently located next to the kitchen area and the bathrooms. Place is clean and well illuminated at night. Roni was very useful answering a few questions about the logistics. We will totally go back to enjoy more nature time and more Yosemite

Great Yosemite spot!
Awesome! We stayed for three nights and it was just what we were looking for - a peaceful little spot right outside Yosemite where we can enjoy nature and get some solid sleep in to recharge for the next day. Our campsite was flat & clear, the facilities on site were clean, and all the information we needed was given up front without even needing to ask. Thank you again Roni Lynn!

Did not feel safe
Did not feel safe at all. The first strange occurrence that set the scene for the night ahead was the arrival of two females who dropped off two large trash bags at the green hut around 9PM. They then departed in their car. Seemingly random people (who ultimately did not appear to stay here) arrived at around 11:30 PM (just as we had fallen asleep in preparation for waking up early for our vacation to Yosemite the next day). We were abruptly woken as a car arrived right next to our camp site around 11:30 PM, and the occupants subsequently starting to drink and converse/laugh loudly in what was now the middle of night. This group of people -- we think it was a group of 4 -- were *walking through our designated site* and in between our vehicle and tent and my brothers head -- a narrow space of about 6 feet (despite all the other space that was available). All seemed to be drunk, and seemed to search for additional alcohol in the common area (and they found it as we found the discarded bottle and cork in the morning). I would assume this group was related to the host because the lights in the room designated as the "office" were on during this time. These events made me feel so scared in the middle of night. The group stayed around about 1.5 hours (yes, I was not able to sleep at all) and two people left in the car at around 1AM, but they **drove THROUGH our designated site, navigating (while likely drunk) a narrow space between our vehicle and the berm on which the office building sat**. This was such an awful, scary and unsafe camping experience -- and is not something I expect to pay ~$80 for. The facilities - it is what it is, as described, so it was OKAY as I did not have any expectations - but at the very least, the host has a duty of care to ensure that the paying visitors to the site are made to feel safe on the one hand, and obeying the rules (read: basic decency) on the other. I would not recommend this listing.

1 Giuseppe is a nice, last minute solution to camping near Yosemite. We were delighted to get a half dome permit by lottery and made a last minute trip to Yosemite over the weekend. Camp spots are hard to come by last minute and 1 Giuseppe was a available. The site was exactly as described. It was private enough, just down off the main road. It was a flat space with trees around it. The grounds and outdoor kitchen are nice. The bathroom is in an old mobile home. It is usable. The location was very convenient and though you do hear noise from town, it was live jazz music so we enjoyed it!

This place is funky, and you can tell it is a work in progress! We appreciated having the outdoor kitchen, but note it does not have hot water. I wished some of the outdoor seating for the kitchen area was more stable and less worn. It was a bit far from Yosemite, but we knew this and planned accordingly. Just a short walk away, and the Groveland Hotel has music and food on its back patio on the weekend. Like I previously mentioned, I understand this location is a work in progress, but I did wish I had better expectations before booking on two things: 1. how close the spots are to each other, and how 6 is right next to the kitchen and mobile home bathrooms 2. while the bathrooms are clean and plentiful with cleaning supplies, the writing all over the walls and bathrooms in the mobile home with a random mattress and furniture is super funky Many guests enjoyed this character and paid no mind, and I just wasn't aware, based on the photos, that this is what it would look like and wanted to share for others.

Awesome experience from beginning to end. We stayed at 3 Herman and it was the perfect site. A huge, comfortable tent and a spacious private area for dining and lounging. Campground Keeps Improving
I stayed at Ferretti farm last summer and for my second stay I was pleased to discover Roni had made improvements to the campgrounds. The kitchen was built out, there were additional trash cans, and the mobile interior had been spruced up. The Giuseppe campsite was well maintained with level ground, dirt soft enough for stakes, and no sharp rocks. The location is tucked away from the center of the campgrounds so human noise is minimal. There is a small stream frequented by Grouse nearby, however, so be prepared to wake up to their cooing in the morning. Overall I had another great experience and would recommend Ferretti Farm to anyone who can't find a campsite in Yosemite or just looking for more amenities than your typical campground can provide.

Perfect camping near beautiful town
The camping was perfect!! With large camping areas in a beautiful setting, coupled with the practical outdoors kitchen, the place is fantastic to spend many days. Having a shower is also very useful. The only drawback was that one of the toilets was out of service the last day of our stay, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon. As for the nearby town, it's beautiful and has everything you need to buy food/gears for your adventures. It is also very close to one of Yosemite entrances (30' by car). I would definitely recommend 6 Salvador and come back!! Thanks Roni!!!

Highly recommended quiet getaway
A cute, quiet spot ideal for a four-day getaway! Convenient to restaurants but still removed from the noise. The tent was clean and spacious for two people. Roni was quick to respond. Her charm was obvious: from the conveniences she provided (bathroom, soap, outdoor kitchen, lights) to the notes she left in the trailer, it was clear she’s a thoughtful person! The property was close enough to the bar to hear the live music most evenings. (They stopped before 9pm.) My friend and I greatly enjoyed the free entertainment! Highly recommended and would come back again!
