We are a small farm in Silicon Valley. We are basically a petting zoo and kid-friendly destination! You can stay in our "Flying Pig" cabin (sleeps up to 5), or our "Room with a view of a Ewe" (sleeps 3)....or bring friends 'n' family - and reserve both :-) Please PLEASE read further for more information! and read again just before you come :-) The guest restroom (outside entry in the main house) is shared with other guests. I clean it every day, between every group or guest. We have bikes for kids, playhouses, playground, so many kid activities....and of course, animals galore!! You can feed or pet many of them. Relax, the place is yours! One mile away is Harvey Bear County Park, with trails for bikes, horses or walking. We are 5 minutes from the Gilroy Outlets, yet a world away from the hustle and bustle! Come, relax and enjoy nature! Enjoy Gilroy Gardens (seasonally) or go hiking at a nearby State or County Park. Or just relax at the Farm. We will make this a special day for you! Let us know if you are celebrating an event * CHECK-IN is after 4:00pm and please give us a 30 min heads-up before your arrival. CHECK OUT is 10am, unless previous arrangements have been made. Please be as specific as you can regarding your arrival time (so I can make the temp in there as comfortable as possible, turn on lights as needed, etc.) ** We are a "Bed and Breakfast"; most days we have other day-guests and events here, so please respect the arrival and check-out times. If you stay 2 nights, please be aware that you most likely won't have the whole farm to yourselves during the day. This is an animal farm. If you love new animal experiences, this is the place for you! If you are scared of or allergic to cats or dogs, this might not be the place for you! If you can't handle new smells and sounds, this might not be the place for you. You will feed and enjoy the animals; please respect their space, no chasing and no going into their enclosures. There is dirt, dust and various country critters. We love Country Life!! If you are adventurous and love animals and want a unique experience, come check us out! Restroom available in the main house (short walk from the cabin). Small fridge and microwave next to the restroom. There is no kitchen/oven/stove available. Gas Fire pit available ; there is no BBQ. We are exceptionally cautious with camp fires. If it is particularly hot and windy, there will be no fires. We now have a gas fire pit where you can create smores or just enjoy the campfire ambiance. Price is $175 for the Flying Pig (up to 5 total). Another option (as an add-on): you can pitch a tent for $45. "The Flying Pig" has a queen bed, bunk beds twin size, and a loft with a twin mattress, all bedding included. You are not just paying for a place to sleep; you are paying for an experience and the enjoyment of our property :-). We serve a continental breakfast (free) or hot breakfast ($35/cabin) between 8-9am. (we can accommodate vegetarian and dairy free diets; let us know before you come). We provide bedding and towels. There is A/C and a plug-in heater in The Flying Pig. Please do not bring additional things to plug in except for chargers for phone/electronic devices. We are approximately 1 1/2 hours south of San Francisco, 30 min south of San Jose (without traffic). Gilroy Gardens is 15 min away; Harvey Bear County park is 1 mile away; Monterey and Santa Cruz and the Pinnacles National Park are approximately 1 hour away. We recommend bringing dinner or eating before arrival to maximize your evening. Contact us for more info. If you want to celebrate a birthday and bring friends for the evening, there is an additional fee for parties. (Please contact us about this). If you want to bring a few friends just to enjoy the evening, we now have that as an add-on. SPECIAL PACKAGES :-). We are a small farm in Silicon Valley. You can stay in our "Flying Pig" cabin (sleeps up to 5), our new "Room with  a view of a Ewe"  (sleeps 3) or your tent. We provide a continental breakfast or for a fee, you can have a full hot breakfast. Wake up to sheep and goats outside your door with a view of the pasture. Please read further for more information! Flying Pig sleeps 5. Room with a View of a Ewe sleeps 3...now with its own listing. All bedding and towels are included. The restroom is shared with other guests when you stay here;  we clean it every day, between every group or guest. New in 2022: gas fire pit on paver patio, Room with a Ewe (price incl 3 people), 2 new playhouses and Bunkbeds in the Flying Pig. New in 2023: more insulation in the Flying Pig walls :-) and new, light-blocking curtains. New play structures. New in 2024: Separate listings for the 2 cabins. New amenities. We joined the Hipcamp family in 2017 and have enjoyed hosting guests so added this unit in 2022. Now it will be its own listing, with views of our "ewes"/sheep and goats, intended for 2 adults or a small family of 3. There is a double bed and a pull out twin size couch bed. It is a short walk to the bathroom. All bedding and towels included. There is a small heater and fan available,. The front deck is great for yoga or relaxing. You will share a half acre and the restroom with another Hipcamp cabin. A small breakfast is included. (You can add-on a hot breakfast for $35.) There is a fire pit available for an additional fee of $10, OR you can get the Smores kit as well as use of the fire pit for $20. New carpet in 2024. New playground in 2025. We stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and it was such a special experience. The host was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hospitality was wonderful, and we absolutely loved the space. The breakfast was healthy and delicious, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

My son and I had a wonderful time here! The cabin was cute and comfortable and had everything we needed. Spending time with the animals was a highlight of our trip along with all of the playtime around the many play structures around the farm.

We had a great time. My two kids loved hanging out with the animals and feeding them and absolutely loved this unique experience. There's so many kids toys lying around and the trampoline was a hit with my 7 year old. The Cabin was clean, cozy, and very well put together. The attention to details was impressive. The breakfast was delicious and Kim was very flexible with our schedule. Highly recommend.

It was our third time to stay here. My kids love this place and begged me to come in their spring break. They enjoyed feeding animals, playing at the backyard and staying in the cozy cabin. We could pet the chicks and they were so fluffy! We also enjoyed the optional breakfast. The owner, Kim, is very kind and friendly. We’ll definitely come back again.

A Valentine's Day Success

Kim was a great host! We loved every moment of being there with the animals on her spacious property. Her hospitality and kindness was a delight and helped make the trip a success. We were able to see the stars and hear the animals throughout the night. We hope more people come spend time on the farm and help her out with feeding all the cute animals.

This was our second time staying at the Flying Pig, and it was just as great as the first. Our kiddos loved feeding all the animals. Kim’s hospitality is unmatched and her breakfasts are delicious. This is such a great Bay Area retreat!

My son and I stayed at Kim’s family farm for one night and my son had a blast! There is so much to do for a toddler in Windsor family farm, multiple playgrounds, lots of tricycles, bikes and push cars! We will definitely go back

We had an amazing time! The kids (age 7 and 10) said it was 10 out of 10 - best farm they have ever been to. We all enjoyed the s'mores, breakfast, and the cabin was super comfortable for us all. There were a ton of things for the kids to do. They especially enjoyed feeding the animals and petting the bunnies. They left this morning want to go back already.

Kim is fantastic! Not only is the room, clean, cozy, and has everything I needed, but Kam is also a wonderful host that provides all of the comforts. My son enjoys the large backyard and animals to feed. Kim is very attentive and asks if you want to participate in the feeding. This is our second time back at the farm, and we already have another trip planned in the summer. This is the perfect getaway to get kids off their screens !

This was my family's second time visiting, this time with 1 year old twins, so it was a special and new kind of experience for all of us. It was their first time seeing farm animals and getting to feed them was of course the highlight. Kim makes everything so easy, we just showed up and had a great time! There is even a swing set that soothed one kid that was not so happy at one point. Hard to beat such an amenity when you need it! We really enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast and our campfire time with the smoores kit that we ordered as Extras. The gas powered fire pit couldn't be easier to operate, and there was room for two pack and plays in the cabin. It was toasty warm even mid Winter. 10/10, we will be back!

Hostess Kim has a large collection of children’s playground toys and critters galore. They all enjoyed our twin girls’ attentions. Nice fire ring and comfy cabin with an effective space heater. Then, in the AM you get a beautiful farm breakfast made by Kim. I highly recommend this experience, even in the rain.

Kim was an amazing host for our visit. My kids had a really great time playing with all of the different animals. My son's favorite was feeding the sheep. My daughter loved collecting eggs from the hens. The pictures don't do this place justice, it was a fantastic treat for all of us.

We had such a fun stay at the Room with a View of a Ewe! Kim the host was extremely welcoming and friendly - she showed us around the farm and we got to feed the chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, bunnies, and alpacas. It was a hit with our toddler. The cabin was comfortable and warm overnight, and the breakfast and s’mores kit were an added bonus. Thanks Kim!

This was our second time staying at Kim’s farm and it was just as fun this time around. Our 3 year old had been talking about it non stop since our last visit, so we came back. The animals are always fun, but it is Kim’s hospitality that always stands out the most. Couldn’t recommend more!

Kim’s farm, as my kids call it, is one of our favorite family adventures. It’s low-key and peaceful but engaging enough to keep a 9 year old, a 7 year old, and a 2 year old all equally comfortable and happy. They love to feed the animals and collect eggs. They love sleeping in the cabin and getting up early to wander the property in their pajamas. They feel mostly unsupervised and totally safe. Kim goes out of her way to make our visits feel special. She also makes a wonderful breakfast.

Cozy getaway with loved ones

Kim is a superhost and we spent an incredible night celebrating my husband's birthday in a blanket of stars! We love the animals on the farm, all clean and happy, and my 2-year-old had a great time feeding them. There are also plenty to explore for a kid her age (swings, pretend kitchen, dolls etc.), and spend quality time playing with grannies. The farm eggs is a nice surprise - flavorful and full of love. Just made an omelet with the dozen of eggs we got from the farm and it's absolutely yummy. The shower is separate from the cabin, but is nicely furnished with nice supply of hot water and shampoos. We felt fully relaxed and refreshed after the stay, and we're hoping to come back next year with friends!

Me and my husband stayed at room with a view for 2, we spent one night from 6 pm on Thursday 18 to 10 am next morning on friday 19. The place is amazing! Is very cozy very comfortable. Kim is awesome, since we arrive she was there to give us the tour and get right on to pet and feed goats, tortoises, chickens and bunnies, she is very friendly. There was another party in the property but kim totally made us feel very welcome. We loved every single thing ! Waking up to the sounds of the animals is a truly wonderful experience.

Magical place for kiddos!

Our weekend on Kim’s farm felt magical and I can’t recommend it enough, especially for families of young children. Our two and a half year old was in heaven. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, but what made the experience was Kim and the friendly animals. My daughter loved getting to feed them. Kim is a gem - she is so incredibly kind and welcoming and goes above and beyond with personal touches that made us feel special. The on-site playgrounds and toys was a huge bonus and kept our daughter entertained for hours. Our hearts glowed watching her here! I can’t recommend enough of you are looking for a relaxing, family-friendly stay with genuine warmth and hospitality.

Magical farm-stay experience!

We had such a wonderful weekend on Kim’s farm. Our three year old was delighted to meet the animals, and help with feedings. There was so much room to run around and play, it was the perfect getaway. The cabin was cosy, and fun to stay in with really sweet and thoughtful touches. In the mornings, Kim gave us a hearty breakfast and was so generous with her time showing us around and answering our daughter’s questions. We will definitely be back again! I cannot recommend Windsor Family Farm enough, if you have small kids who love animals, this is just a truly unique and fun experience.
