Dale and I are retired Agriculture teachers. I am a personal trainer and health coach, and Dale is a cattle rancher and livestock consultant. The Lazy Y Ranch is our place to express what's important to us: Healthy lifestyles and fun, stewardship and quality production, hospitality and inclusion.  Whether you're in the mood for a country wine tasting trip, touring local crafters, fishing and a glider ride, hiking, mountain biking or just retreating from the noise and bustle of the city and burbs, the Lazy Y has just the get away for you. Our cozy, quiet, air conditioned retreat is on a 10 acre ranch adjacent to the California Riding and Hiking Trail. The fully equipped kitchen has microwave, refrigerator, stove, toaster and coffee maker, and the private patio has a gas grill with burner. Continental breakfast is provided in your studio. Retreat from the city. Enjoy miles of local trails on foot, horseback,or mountain bike. Horse stalls and trailer parking are available. The local vineyards specialize in grapes grown above 3500'. Visit local boutique wineries, private art studios and restaurants; boating, fishing and glider rides are nearby. Half hour to world class Temecula Valley Wine Country and 40 min to Julian. After a full day of wandering the hills, return to your air conditioned retreat or have a soak in your private hot tub. The Lazy Y is located at approximately 4200' above sea level. We get all four seasons. If you time your stay right, you might wake up to a white, winter morning, or run for cover in a summer thunderstorm. The leaves turn colors in the fall, and the wildflowers bloom in the Spring. You may even have a midnight serenade from "Los Coyotes" -- all under the watchful eyes of our 24 hour security provided by Vultures, Inc. Whether you're looking for a writer's retreat, a fun getaway for two or headquarters for an RV camp out, join us at the Lazy Y Ranch and enjoy a million stars and no cars!

Campsite Under the Oaks -- BYO Hors
Great for a night or two away
We loved the spot. There was others close on the property but it didn’t bother us. Came with a CLEAN port-a-potty. Grill worked great which made cooking easy but do bring your own utensils.

They’ve got a nice shady spot for you to set up camp here :) The camping spot is around the corner from the host’s house, so it’s a little bit more private. They’ve provided a bbq, washing/kitchen station, porta-potty, and a couple of chairs to sit and relax on. Great spot to bring your horse if you’ve got one!

Neat stay!
The RV was well stocked and the host was friendly and super responsive but also gave us our privacy. I loved seeing the cows, sheep, and horse on the property. The deck area to the RV was very cool with a grill and chairs.
