The Redwood TreeCabin
Awesome piece of land. We will definitely be back. I'm not sure if the weather is always as beautiful as we had it. We were prepared for more fog but it was perfect weather. Ben was a great host and showed us around when we arrived. The bed and pillows were super comfortable.

The Earth Cabin at Ocean Forest
Gorgeous spot in the woods with a peakaboo view of the ocean. The Earth Cabin was immaculate and cozy. There’s a battery for light and phone charging and a little heater. The privy is way better than your average privy because of a composting toilet keeping it odor free. Ben was welcoming and highly entertaining, showed us how everything worked and didn’t mind at all when I knocked on his cabin door with a question. I especially enjoyed a quick bath in the outdoor claw foot tub. Rustic for sure, but we loved our stay!

This is such a sweet place! We were so comfy and just minutes away from one of our favorite beaches in Mendo! My favorite part was having my morning tea while checking out the amazing view point just steps from our cabin.

The Garden Cabin at Ocean Forest
My boyfriend booked this for his 21st birthday!! Absolutely loved the cute little cabin. Never worried about us being cold at night, with the mini heater and fireplace. Took his dog with us, super dog friendly and he loved the space. Only thing we wished, it stated on the website that there was hot water……..(never was, always cold). Wished there was more space to cook, the sink to wash our dishes was fine, barely any water came out. Would have loved to have a place to store dry food like a bear box. Had to put our stinky trash in the cabin. Would have loved to see a place for our trash. Wish there was more outdoor lights. There was really pretty lights, never worked :(. Overall a great experience just wish there was the simple stuff.

Honeybear Cabin at Ocean Forest
Beautiful property. A deer greeted us as we drove in thru gate. Magical. Great location for visiting surrounding area or just stay put and relax. It rained hard on us during our stay so no Campfire for us alas. It could use a covered counter near outisde sink to use for prepping food etc.
All in all a pleasant stay.

Beautiful all around
Ben and Grace were very hospitable, they went above and beyond to ensure directions for the hot water, and the guest manual were readily available. The placement of the outdoor shower was perfect, nestled in between several trees. I appreciated the shower curtains that provided a little extra privacy. The grounds themselves were very beautiful, my partner and I took our dog on several walks throughout the day. This was such a quiet and serene area. There is a great view of ten-mile beach, with plenty of seating available to enjoy. The outdoor kitchen area has everything you could need to prepare meals and ease clean up. Our stay here was truly such a wonderful experience. My partner and I are already planning our next trip out. If you have the chance to stay here, you definitely should, and I highly recommend the earth cabin.

Earth Cabin at OceanForest ♡
My husband, my 2 doggos and I stayed at the Earth Cabin. First off the property is beautiful! You are nestled in the forest with ferns, mushrooms and beauty all around you. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the property also! The outdoor bath/shower is just so dreamy! Trees surrounding you as you soak in the bath, the water stayed nice and hot also. We made pizzas in the beautiful hand crafted pizza oven, made a fire in the fire pit and cozied up on the Adobe couches that surround the fire pit. The kitchen was well equipped and propane was supplied for us. The bed is super comfy and there was plenty of bedding to keep us nice and warm. This is a jewel of a place and I definitely will be back, but for a longer stay next time!

The Earth Cabin at Ocean Forest
The Earth Cabin was a dreamy wonderland tucked away in the forest. It had everything we needed for a glamping experience in the forest. We spent 3 nights at the end of October, I thought it was going to be really cold in the cabin, but actually it was so comfortable and cozy.
Although the kitchen is not listed as an amenity, the outdoor space around back had a table, sink with hot water, propane stove, and all the dishes we needed. Not sure if they plan on keeping this or revamping it but it was great.
The outdoor shower is a must have experience! Under the stars, surrounded by trees. You wont regret it. :)
Don't forget to prep your dough before the trip and use the woodfire pizza oven!! It's always fun making your own pizza, but making it in he forest is even better. We had a blast!
Ben and Grace made sure we had everything needed during our trip. Thank you for sharing your space!!

Ocean Forest Full Property-Cabins
Super cute and magical place
Ben and Grace’s place was beautiful. So happy me and my friends got to spend a weekend there. It was super magical and for sure convenient if you want to stay close to the beach and still be in the middle of the woods. It has all you need to stay confortable and safe in case the weather changes. They were super accommodating and responsive since I first contacted them. There’s no signal at all so make sure you download maps and not follow the gps after you turn to Little Valley Road, just read the instructions so you don’t get all the way to the end of the road like we did… 😅 Hopefully we can come back some other time and enjoy some sunny days up there. Thanks for everything <3

The Garden Cabin at Ocean Forest
I could not be more satisfied with this stay, my girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to escape the upcoming bay area heat wave and found this little spot. It was all just perfect, our cabin was super clean, and everything was so well thought out. There is a big open space where you get a clear view of the ocean for a fantastic sunset, we just had two other neighbors with full privacy.
Our cabin had a little fire-burning stove with little logs all chopped up for us, (bring a hatchet or something to split more small pieces in case you are there for a while, NBD), and a huge pile of firewood right next to our cabin. The outhouses were the cleanest I've ever been in. Hot running water, outdoor showers, just really no complaints here.
we woke up to the sun gleaming through the trees and a family of young deer grazing on the foliage. you really have to experience it for yourself. Total peace. Thank you Dan and Grace for giving us such an amazingly peaceful experience, I really hope to be back soon!

The Earth Cabin at Ocean Forest
This was a beautiful property. The view of the ocean was amazing and you could hear the waves off in the distance. The cabin was very cozy and the outside area was relaxing and peaceful. The land the cabin is on is just beautiful, lots of tall trees and privacy. There was more property than expected, really gives the nature feel.
Ben was really inviting and helpful, made us feel like we were staying on a friends property.
We are already planning our next trip back.

Glamping in Old Growth Redwoods!
The land was beautiful. It's an old growth redwood forest and completely secluded from neighbors and other property. You could hear the ocean all day and night and not far from the camp was a sitting area where you could watch the ocean from afar. The kitchen was well-appointed and the outdoor shower was divine. The Earth Cabin was warm and comfortable, including the bed. We can't wait to return. Thank you for being wonderful hosts, Ben and Grace!

Cozy private spot
Hosts were super helpful, cabins cozy, had a nice area behind it with a hammock and some hiking trails - there were 2 cabins somewhat close, but this one I think was the most private with the hammock area. If you’re staying in the area it’s a great base camp or even a great spot to just stop over for a night.

The environment was absolutely incredible there was hiking nearby you could also hike on the property everything was pristine and very inviting. Even the other people who stayed there were very considerate polite and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this for a quiet wonderful getaway but at the same time you can go to town easily to get some ice or just hang out if you choose the beach is less than a mile away.

Perfect nature retreat
This property is something magical. Truly feels like an escape even being only 15 minutes (if that) from town. I rented the whole property and will definitely do it again in the future. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a beautiful nature retreat. The tent camping spots had views of the ocean and the cabins we’re super cozy. Last but not least the hosts were extremely helpful and easy to communicate with, plus wonderfully kind.

We loved the cute cabins and the wood burning stove. Everything was clean. Short drive to the ocean with amazing ocean views swell. The old growth redwoods were really cool and overall a very enjoyable experience. Very close to fort Bragg and Mendocino, unique getaway.

Redwood retreat
Stayed here for a weekend in the summer and enjoyed our stay. Great for dogs. Cabin is in great condition and so are the grounds. Quiet location about 10 minutes from Fort Bragg. Make sure you are comfortable with an outhouse (bathroom) situation. I would recommend staying here if you enjoy the serene redwoods.

secluded, yet not isolated. sunsets that were suspended in time and glowing in the tall trees. this was a last-minute booking (our tent zipper finally gave up) and grace and ben were so accommodating to us. tidy little camp cabin with the cutest woodstove i have ever seen! everything you need and nothing you don't. this is someplace i want to return to.

The Garden Cabin at Ocean Forest
The cabin was cute and clean, and the woods around it were beautiful. There are currently two cabins constructed, and it is clear that the owner plans to put up at least a couple more cabins, so if you like the idea of going there and not having many other people around, go now! There is a hot shower, composting toilet, fire-pit, kitchen with some basic supplies (like the can opener we forgot) and a trail cut to some backwoods maintenance roads. When no one else was there we let the dog off-leash and she had fun running around through the ferns and trees.
