Desert Heaven!
Steve has a gorgeous piece of desert Heaven with ALL the amenities- the hot tub and outdoor shower were decadent after being outdoors for several days! Feeding horses carrots was my fav part of stay 🙂

Camping with Therapy Horses
Steve was such an accommodating and generous host, we're grateful we found this cute and cozy spot. We went with our Airstream and had everything we needed, and then some! The hammocks, the fire pits, the horses, and the beautiful night sky meant there was something for everyone and made it a memorable visit. None of our kids ever said they were bored!
Steve took the time to teach us how he trains his horses as a horseman, with compassion and kindness. He even allowed our kids to help wash one of the horses, which was a trip highlight for them.
Our family had such a wonderful stay at the ranch and will definitely be going back.

Star gazing in the desert!
We had a great time at Steve’s oasis! We brought our 33ft RV and had full hookups. Have to take a dirt road to get to the site, so definitely make sure you have the tools needed if you get stuck in sand. Loved the feeling of being out in the middle of nowhere. Jonesie was super helpful upon arrival and getting us to our site and gave us a tour of the grounds. We star gazed by the fire at the site at night! We were about 25 minutes from the North entrance for Joshua Tree. Not a ton of great options in Twentynine palms for dinner, but would recommend Grnd Squirrel for lunch and Kitchen in the Desert. Get reservations prior to trip.

Loved this spot. Steve was very welcoming despite us getting into the camp site kind of late. The hot tub was the absolute best. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Mid-air suspended container home
Poor value for money spent
Overall - nice location / set up and very tidy place, spectacular night skies. However…being winter it would have been nice to have table and seating to eat out meals inside… cuttlery / cups / plates were very sparse and mismatched and should there have been 4 of us there would not have been enough. Even though we only stayed 1 night we were charged a $150 cleaning fee on top of rental fee and we still had to do our dishes… Overall it was an expensive experience little value for money spent. also there were no board games no way to play music …Fire pits but no firewood… A lot to improve based on cost.

Camping with horses and hot tubs!
Steve was an excellent host! He met us on arrival to show us around and even got out one of his precious horses for my little girl to have a closer encounter. It was nice to have a shower and a toilet to use camping in the desert. We brought our unconverted school bus and had no problem parking it on his property! Overall great experience and would definitely stay again. So close to Joshua Tree National park!!

Woman traveling alone !
I loved Steve’s quirky property, with his converted container home. Great camping with hook ups and the outdoor shower was awesome with piping hot water ! Loved the feeling of spaciousness and the close proximity to the town but far enough away to feel away from it all ! and super close to the park (not busy Entrance !) Steve was a great host, a cool guy, considerate and super helpful yet giving you space to do your own thing too. No frills fancy but a freakin awesome place ! Oh and did I mention his wonderful dogs !! I went with a friend but stayed on on my own coz I felt super safe and protected 🙏

Great spot for our RV. A night in the desert with a nice pool and hot tub to see the stars. Great sunset too. Steve was very nice with us and has anticipated everything.

Ranch House suite, 2 beds, spa, gym
Amazing stars from the hot tub.
The suite was great! I was there in june so very hot but the AC held up super well. The daybed outside was a wonderful way to escape the heat along with the pool. At night the views of the stars were amazing from the hot tub. The place was perfectly located, just 15 mins from the entrance to joshua tree and 10 from restaurants in 29 palms.

Steve’s place was our favorite camping spot on our ten day California road trip. The Joshua tree night sky was incredible, especially from the hot tub. I can’t wait to come back and stay in one of the container rooms!

Beautiful and clean camping site
We had an amazing time camping on Steve’s land! The directions and communication was very clear from the start, so we had no trouble finding our way to the camp. Steve also answered all our questions very promptly. The camp itself is one of the best camps we have stayed at. There is a pool and a jacuzzi and many flat camp grounds to choose from with fire pits. Everything was clean and there was always toilet paper in the porter potty etc. Unfortunately we encountered a little desert storm at night so we could not make a fire due to the winds but it was ok, just something to watch out for before you leave and when you set up camp, as your tent can blow away if you don’t put something heavier inside and attach it well (the winds we’re about 60mph that night). Watching the sunset in the jacuzzi was pretty magical and so worth it! We would definitely stay here again or try one of the container rooms that were on the camp site for rent.

This place has everything you need to enjoy the desert, and stay comfortable. Remote work? Great Wi-Fi! Looking to relax after a day of hiking? A pool and two spas! Like to start your morning with a workout? Mini gym! ATVs and horses? Yup!
This place has it all! The beds have the softest linens and the mattresses are a dream. AC keeps it cool, plenty of windows for airflow and patio seating to enjoy the sunrise and sunset every day.
The host has thought of everything you could need for your stay. Cannot wait to come back and do it again.

Very relaxing
It`s very peaceful and quiet area just what we were looking for, perfect for stargazing, relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family. The porta potty was very clean that`s the only amenity we used. We didn't use the pool nor jacuzzi since we had booked it last minute and we weren't prepared with bathing suits but it would`ve been nice too relax in the jacuzzi, maybe next time.

We had such a nice time here. Very good vibes from the host and the property is kept clean and has lots of amenities. We didn’t have a chance to go in the pool or hot tub but hope to visit again and do that because both looked great. Saying hi to the horses was an added bonus. Campsite had a fire pit which was nice to use as well. Overall really loved it here and would like to come back!

We had a great stay with Steve. The area for campers was beautifully and thoughtfully laid out over a spacious area. The views of the desert from our van were lovely. Steve also took pains to offer appreciated amenities, such a private shower and hot tub. We also appreciated his responsiveness if we had questions or needed anything. We wish that we'd had more time to enjoy all that he offered!

Desert Camping on a Ranch!
Clean, well organized, excellent facilities, very friendly, fantastic location. We were looking for something quick and easy to drive with with our VW van, kids, and dogs, and then someone to help us know the area. Steve is very friendly and it's a cool scene at the property. Recommended!
