The coziest Gold Rush stay!
This spot was perfect for our midweek remote work getaway! The wifi was fast enough for Zoom video calls with no problems, and we used the cabin's iMac to watch a DVD from Su's collection. We played board games, loved having the French press coffeemaker, and used the stove and dishes to make our own meals. Everything was super clean, the bathroom was surprisingly big, and the loft space was delightful with comfy bedding (sleeping bags are also provided if you want to skip the loft). Bonus: We were so glad it was pet-friendly and brought our blue heeler. 🐶
All of the charming design details were a highlight, as was the restored wood stove (with plenty of firewood provided, for both the indoor stove and the outdoor fire pit). With the stove, the cabin was plenty warm for a winter stay (although we left just a couple hours before the first snow). All of the restoration work is super impressive. The fencing around most of the cabin gives plenty of privacy.

Great little getaway
Lovely little spot! Very well curated while still paying homage to the original cabin. Our 3.5-year-old loved the loft, swinging in the hammock, and coloring at the table. We'll be back!

Secluded cabin
Su’s property was amazing. Tucked away and pretty secluded. The decor was fantastic and very vintage. The vibe was so cozy and the loft bed made it feel like we were staying in a tree house. We picked a pretty hot weekend to get away so the cabin was hot to sleep in but Su provided fans so that was helpful! The backyard was amazing to relax in. The only thing I would say is that the bed situation is pretty tight and wouldn’t be good for really tall people.
Overall, We loved our stay and will be back again!

A great escape from the city
Heidis Goldnugget was such a nice and ideal stay away from city. It’s a really cozy cabin with some modern amenities. Su was very helpful and a great host. Bonus: The vintage speakers were a really nice touch which you can connect via Bluetooth.

We enjoyed being able to go hiking in the nearby area, and check out some of the shops in Nevada City, and then retreat back to the quiet of the Gold Nugget. The cabin is well stocked, the surroundings are quiet and relaxing, and our dog loved being able to hang with us on the front porch.
Highly recommend a stay at Su's cabin, we'll definitely be back.

Weekend gateway in the wilderness!
Loved this cute petite place in the middle
Of wilderness. It’s modern cabin-ing at its best; you have WiFi, and private showers / restrooms. The place is kept really clean, and plenty of lights in and outside the cabin. We spent a day in Colfax by the mineral bar campground and the river. Evenings were spent grilling (on a super clean and well kept grill), and we watched some movies with wine. Almost all amenities are available in this cozy retreat.
Su is an extremely patient and amazing host, who took time out to answer probably 100 questions of mine. She also had great suggestions to offer for things to do around.

Perfect Tiny Cabin in the Woods
Heidi's Goldnugget was such a fun find! I booked a last minute mom/daughter getaway and Su was extremely accommodating. My 7 year-old thought that the loft bed and quirky décor throughout the house were SO cool and I appreciated the fact that cabin was perfectly rustic, yet modern and clean. It was stocked with everything we needed for our brief stay and we wish we could have stayed longer. Su was communicative and also very kind and understanding, despite me accidentally making a mess of the wood burning stove! Thanks again for hosting us, Su!

Wonderful weekend getaway!
My husband and I had a fantastic weekend at Heidi’s Goldnugget! The cabin is so cute and whimsical, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed talking around the fire pit at night - the sky was so bright with stars! Watched a dvd and we were able to get some work done - great internet! Su is a great host and made everything so easy. The cabin is also really close to some great hiking, kayaking, rivers, lakes. We definitely plan on staying again!

Su’s beautiful cabin was just what we needed. The finishing touches (books, movies, uniquely special decor) added to the whole experience. We loved the fire pit outdoors and cozy fireplace indoors. It’s was great that all firewood was provided, allowing us to cook s’mores and enjoy wine outside far into the evening. Su was very responsive to any questions we had and made herself available if we needed anything additional. We will definitely be back! Thank you again Su for opening your doors to us.

Cozy Cabin
Heidi’s Goldnugget was the perfect little cabin for our Thanksgiving getaway. It is perfectly decorated, down to every little detail. The kitchen had a cooking top, utensils, toaster oven, French press, and a good sized mini refrigerator. There’s also a grill outside which we used daily. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night and having some wine and there’s a hammock for relaxing during the day. Su was a great host and very responsive! We will definitely be back again.

Amazing stay at Heidi’s Goldnugget!
Heidi’s Goldnugget was the cutest little hidden gem, truly. I took my husband here for his birthday weekend so we could just get away and enjoy each other’s company and it was just that! The cabin and location exceeded any expectation we had, it was quant and cozy. The whole atmosphere, architecture and decor was done very very well, one of the cutest little places we have ever stayed! We had everything we needed! We made dinner, played the board games (Othello, Jenga & more ) she had there, drank some wine by the cozy fire and watched a few of the dvd movies that were there! We also contributed to the wonderful movie collection which we bought at the mini mart going into the town of Dutch flat. In the mornings we drank coffee and mimosas on the porch and just took in the wilderness ( p.s. amazing sky views at night!). Su was an amazing host and any questions I had she got back to me immediately. We highly recommend, this is one of our top favorite places now and we would definitely return!!

great stay
The stay was great! Su was a friendly host and the cabin was very cute. It’s covered in art and little trinkets that make it cozy.
There’s has an electric stove so you can cook, a fire place to keep it warm in the evening and a computer to watch dvds for a movie night. The bed is in a loft you have to get to via ladder and the ceiling is low so I wouldn’t recommend anyone with mobility issues.
It is close to the yuba so it’s easy to take a day trip to the river. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would recommend!
