My grandparents built this in 1954, and we have now been putting love into it and want everyone to experience how amazing it can really be out here at the desert castle Learn more about this land: This desert castle lays in the great Mojave desert. Great getaway with friends or family, one stone house standing in sight and that is your home away from home, this stone house can’t wait to get some attention, you will get it as the last campers left it so please clean up after yourself, and leave the cabin how you would like to receive it. There is good cell reception Call me at (805)-698-8623 if you have questions or need anything!

Desert Castle
Such a wild and memorable experience! The structure is so nice to have to get out of the sun and the wind. An awesome spot for having a remote campfire away from the city. We were greeted by some friends at night by the fire; neighborhood dogs and coyotes. The dogs are nice and the coyotes don’t really care about our presence. We felt safe and had a lot of fun!

January Stay at Desert Castle
Hard to find in the dark but the host texted promptly to help. Night one went fine. The riding nearby is all very flat, so boring if you’ve got dirtbikes in company, but you’re far enough away from neighbors that you still feel like you can rip. Night two it rained so it was miserable inside. The roof started leaking in several places so a cold night became incredibly unbearable real fast. The folks before us left behind some Cokes & water bottles, but also quite a bit of trash. There’s an outhouse situation just a few yards north. I’d come back if there were a few upgrades made, namely to the leaky roof.
