Just what I needed before hitting the coast and traffic! Spent 4 nights here and it was great plenty of open space for my dogs to run, great views, privacy, and peace and quiet! I had the whole space to myself but the other sites were far enough apart that you wouldn’t be on top of each other. Not far from the main road and unless you had a lowered car it wouldn’t be a problem getting to

Anzabella is a chill place to camp in the area. The site is clean and well ordered. The views are very nice. The owner came out for a quick hello and otherwise let us be. If you are looking for a campsite in the area I would recommend it!

I loved the view at night, so many stars and even though my telescope broke we could still see the constellations! Owner was super nice and so was his dog Zoey who came to check up on us a few times. All and all a very great first camping experience would definitely come back!

Awesome huge campsites for big groups. Beautiful fire pit, trash, recycling, and access to thier bathroom. We had an amazing view and the most beautiful sunsets!

Talking birds next door was a little weird and no grass isn't ideal but it was beautiful and not too hot or cold to sleep at night. Owners dog is a beautiful German Shepherd who was very friendly with us and our dogs, that made me feel very safe as well.

Great camping spot! We were looking for a last-minute site over the holiday season, and this place totally met our expectations. The working bathroom was a welcome amenity, and we had an incredible view of the sunset — I absolutely loved it. There was plenty of space for me, my friends, and our furry companions to camp comfortably.
Eric was attentive, and Zoe the dog was incredibly sweet and welcoming. One thing to note: the ground is pretty tough, so bring sturdy stakes and a hammer. Shade is limited, but there’s a lake nearby for cool air during the hot summer day. We brought our own canopy, which worked perfectly. Firewood is available upon request.

We had a fantastic time at this site! Host Eric was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and offered great tips to make our stay smooth, including recommending a pop-up canopy which turned out to be a lifesaver in the sun. We were greeted warmly by the camp dog, which was such a sweet touch. We brought our pup, cat, and bunny to escape the fireworks and it all turned out great. The site was well kept and peaceful. The sunset was beautiful and there was no little to no wind so we were able to enjoy a campfire. The host provided an ample amount of wood, far more than you would get if you bought several bundles at a gas station. One heads up: bring a hammer to get your tent stakes in the ground, the soil is pretty firm. Would definitely come back.

Compared to Julian and Palomar Mountain this was a top notch spot! Eric was very welcoming and hospitable. My power inverter died and Eric saved the day by joining a few extension cords to his property so I could heat up water. Will definitely return.

This campsite was fantastic. I was looking for an escape from town and a busy life. I found it! Eric was very friendly and offered to show me around, but I declined because I was wanted quiet, and he understand and gave me some privacy. What a great host and what a lovely campsite, perfect view, and friendly host.

This was a great place to relax from the city. Eric was an amazing host and they even helped me set up my campsite. His puppy Gabby was a very sweet guest in the mornings and always welcome back. I am already planning a trip back there! Would recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed two nights here during winter and weather was perfect. Enjoyed the views, nature, and escape from the city chaos. Gorgeous easy PCT hiking trail nearby. Host was friendly and helpful. Camp dog Zoe was a welcomed visitor each day. A few barking dogs around the area but that’s a given for county livin’. Overall felt safe and got the solitude I needed. I’ll definitely be back.

We were looking for a site to just hang around camp, have a fire and enjoy the view. Anzabella was just right. Eric was friendly and made us feel welcome. We elected for a bundle of firewood which was a generous amount and quality wood, enough to keep warm for a couple of nights. Overall it was a great experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Anzabella. Eric is a great host and was very attentive to our needs. He offered and brought his portable fire pit for us to use, as we camped away from the main site. Of course we can’t forget about the dogs. They were friendly and checked on us at least once a day. This is not glamping, but if you enjoy dispersed camping, this is a good choice. The host lives nearby if you need help or if anything were to happen. We definitely plan to go back again.

Cool spot with a great view. Eric was very accommodating and nice. Camp dogs were super sweet and great to have around. One walked my girlfriend to the bathroom in the early morning hours :)

Honestly, great campsite. Easy to find and polite host. The view was killer and the stars in full view.
My dog really enjoyed the property. The host dogs are super cute and very nice my dog was alittle too preoccupied with engaging with them and we were trying to conserve her energy for hiking.
The benefits outweigh the minor inconveniences. Especially for the price!

Overall, a decent stay. Don’t go there with big expectations. The host was friendly and attentive. My only goal for the evening was to get some good sky watching in and that was fine. I found the host interesting in our short interaction and his giant German shepherds coming to visit me in the morning was pleasant. For just an overnighter with friends and family or myself for the view I will return. Bring some earplugs, a lot of dogs barking and roosters..

Anzabella was a great camping site. Enjoyed it with 7 friends, close to Idyllwild and some other great areas. Would definitely recommend. Be sure to bring weather resistant gear, it can be a bit windy on the ridge. Eric is an awesome host, we'll definitely be back.

We had a great stay on Eric’s land! We had to book last minute due to a problem with our previous site and Eric was more than accommodating! Super friendly, nice open spot with a cool view, and 2 friendly, well behaved dogs to pass the time with.
I would recommend this spot!

Eric was very welcoming and we felt safe knowing he was nearby if we needed anything. We had the place all to ourselves. The dogs were extremely friendly and would watch our backs while we were busy, made us feel even safer! It was hailing during our stay but I still loved it. Can’t wait to return!

I had a really great experience at Eric’s Camp. The view was beautiful, the atmosphere was amazing and my dogs had so much fun running around playing off leash. We camped in a tent and felt comfortable and safe.

The host, Eric was very friendly and hospitable. When we arrived he has firewood for us and gave us everything I needed to put out our fire when I was done. The view of the area was great. Would definitely recommend for 1-3 day camp outs.
