Please ignore the map, it's not accurate on this site. Check on my Tamihimeadows.com website for the actual map and directions. Our 33+ acre, picturesque, tranquil property is situated in the Tamihi Recreational Area just south of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Three sides of the property are heavily forested with the Chilliwack River bordering the fourth side. It's only 20 minutes from town but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and serene offerings of nature. The property has a 20 x 60' covered picnic area, a large beach suitable for swimming in summer and fall, and it is also a world-class fishing spot. It has unlimited mountain trails and logging roads for ATVs, mountain bikers/hikers and horses and with Class I - IV rapids, is also a fantastic area for whitewater kayaking & rafting. The national kayaking team trains just up from us and Chilliwack River Rafting is very close by. We occasionally host weddings in the meadow and covered picnic area as well. THIS IS FOR SELF-CONTAINED UNITS ONLY! Tenters with their own porta potty are welcome (or you can borrow a bucket toilet with a deposit if need be). Your QUIET, well-mannered, leashed (at all times) pet is welcome as long as you pick up after them. There is a minimum of 3 nights on long weekends. For some reason Hipcamp doesn't show my individual sites, so I will list them here. Some say Adults only due to sharp drop offs to the river and undercut banks that would be unsafe for children. SITES: Site 21. Adult only site! 17'W x 63'L with a wider portion at the end and some to one side. (measurements of that to follow) Private, with gorgeous wide open view of the river, Pairs well with site 45 and 21. Site 23. .Adult only site! 66'L x 12'W but the end 23' is 27' wide and a wing to one side. (abt 13 x 17') Private, and nice view of the river, Pairs well with site 45 and 21. Site 25 Across the road from the river, but still with a river view. 37 W' x 32'D Site 26. Across the road from river with view, 20'D x 31'W + an extra 9' W x 15'L strip across the front. Site 27. Quite private, but connects with Site 28. 38'W x 52'L Site L1. Adults only. This site has a beautiful full view of the river. 39'D x 23'W connects with L2 on the left and; 48 on the right. Site L2. Beautiful river view! Connects with L1 on the right. 39'D x 20'W. Site L4. Adults only! Private site with full river view. 30’L x 35’W Site L6. Some river view through the trees. 28’D x 42’W Fairly private, but visible to L6. This site is suitable for smaller units due to the trees in the front. & center of this site. Site C2. Only 2 campsites on this road, so it's very quiet and private but it adjoins Site C1. 33’ D x 30’W plus 9’ x 21’, More information and pictures can be seen @ Tamihimeadows.com

Site 35 - Tamihi Meadows Power Sites 2
Once we got moved from the center of the RV park next to the playground with zero privacy to the river the site it was nice. The original spot we were told was our site was nothing like the picture shown in the web page at time of booking..perhaps a site map on their web page would be a good idea. FYI - If they could not have moved us we would not have stayed. Once there and settled in it is a rustic campground with loads of opportunity to become a destination if given the want to.

$$$ pricy.. has beautiful river acc
I find it really expensive for having no outhouse or running water. I thought it was just a site or 2 since there are no toilets but lots of sites. So the using a bucket thing was offputting. Beautiful access to the beach. But for the $$$ definitely not worth it.

Decent Spot!
This property was a bit tough to find. I have to admit it was a bit odd when we pulled up. It was a campground jammed with trailers, a security gate and a fellow who acted a bit more like a gate guard than a welcomer. After we signed the appropriate waivers, we were allowed to view the site (not before??). I must say that after we left the packed campground behind, we were pleasantly surprised by the site! It was very private with great views of the river and mountains. There are no facilities at all, but we knew that going in.

Could be a nicer spot.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Our spot was not as in the photo; weeds, roots and wood partially obstructed the view of the river.

Great place
This is the right place for doing a get away over the weekend, has a great beach in the river, spots are clean and quite. The right place to connect with the nature. I love it! I recommend this place for who loves to forget about internet and commodities. I brought my own portable bathroom and water. I am traveling with my truck adjusted for camping and I do not miss anything. Thank you Deborah!! For having us in a busy weekend and we a short time reservation.

Down by the river
It's a private site so there's very little traffic passing in and out of the sites. If you're camped near the river, you won't hear many others as the water does a nice job of drowning out noise pollution. It seems like the campground has been heavily impacted by erosion from the river over the years, so sites may change each year, but by and large they feel mostly private, although some sites sit on top of each other. Family friendly, lots of berries to eat growing wild and it's nice to have access to a small if not picturesque beach.

Beautiful land, owner was a great host. Especially loved the views and the river, the horses roaming the property, and the parrot show from Deborah and her 21 year old parrot to cap off the perfect weekend.

Early risers beware
Location is nice but property could use some new picnic tables. We sat down for dinner and it seemed a little sketchy so we were about to get up and sit elsewhere, when the bench on left side broke and we almost fell to the ground. As we were trying to leave at 5a we found that the gate had been padlocked at some point during the night and isn’t unlocked until 7am. Being that this is the only way in an out of the property, it’s a little creepy. We have had to wake the host to get out unfortunately and I’m sure he wasn’t too happy.

Had a relaxing weekend camping at Tamihi Meadows. Our river front site was spacious and quiet. The property was easy to find. We will be returning.
