Easy to search online, excellent price, great scenery, fantastic host. When rain threatened my stay my host allowed me to use a dry bed in the bunkhouse that was not occupied. Did a little fishing some metal detecting and filmed a river otter playing in river. Overall I was only guest and needed to peace and quiet to decompress after a very stressful few months.

We had a great time on Waverly's land. Easy access to the river. On site ice and a small store. Volleyball, basketball, teatherball, and horseshoes on site. Indoor recreational room/multipurpose room with tables and chairs to accommodate large parties/families. Full kitchen with darts, corn hole and ping pong. I love that there are RV hookups but you can still have tent camping as well. The cabins are rustic and adorable. Waverly is really sweet and loves dogs. She stopped by on the last day of our stay to ask how our stay was and if our camp site had any discrepancies that we noticed.
We will definitely be going back to this site within the next couple of weeks and plan on becoming regulars.

This campground is a hidden gem 💎 we wouldn't have found this place without hip-camp! There was such a warm home feeling. Beautiful views by the river, fun canoe trip, fishing, rope swings, gravel river bars to chill 😎! Our doggie loved it! Very pet friendly. We will be back !

This was an amazing experience all the way around! We were able to grab a tent site right on the river, which was incredible. The location is great for river access with gravel bars that are perfect for a day lounging in the river! We loved the convince of the camp store and the honor system, it was so nice to be able to grab ice or firewood in the evening. And our dog had the best time! We can't recommend this place highly enough, and we will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely amazing time! Waverly and her family are amazing hosts and made sure we were comfortable when we arrived. The campground is very pet friendly and the swimming hole was great!

The site was clean and it was very family oriented and accommodating. Tent camping is first come first served and there were plenty of spaces to choose from. Firewood can be bought on site as well as ice. We were there on a busy weekend so it was more recreational than rustic and there were plenty of people in the area. The owners were sweet and introduced themselves.

Good: Flexibility of where to setup my tent was nice, bathroom/shower, potable water, campfire

Easy to find and great location on the Caddo River. Amenities are kept up well and having the available option for ice and other supplies onsite was a welcome option. Great place for family camp outs.

Had a water issue in our rv the second I hooked. The staff was more than helpful, diagnosing, dismantling and directing me to nearest rv dealer for parts.
Park was clean, and no one bothered us. Would go again

Well maintained and well- equipped RV sites with lots of shade trees. Clean bathrooms and showers. Hosts were friendly and communicative. Quiet and peaceful. Close to crystal mines.

The property was beautiful & wooded with plenty of shade & was kept clean. The gal working was very friendly & helpful. This time of year is the dry season (August/September) so the water was lower than I imagine it might usually be so we didn’t float but the water was clear & cool & nice to put a chair in & either fish or just hang out & enjoy each others company. It wasn’t as busy when we were there which was nice as it wasn’t crowded.

We loved everything about this campground, the experience for the eclipse, and the family running things. They helped us with everything we needed and even had a live band for the special occasion! Setup was really easy (tents) and the campground was nice and quiet at night - even with all the fun going on during the day. We hope to return!

We camped right near the river for the Solar Eclipse. We enjoyed over 4 minutes of totality on the River with perfect weather and it was not crowded.
It was our own tiny piece of wonderful for 3 days. The river sounds are so relaxing especially at night and people at the campground were really nice and friendly. The weather was phenomenal until Tuesday night. Mike was concerned for our safety with possible river flooding so he put us up in bunk house for free on Tuesday night before we headed home. Really nice people!!
I had never been to Arkansas, currently live in Colorado, but lived in Michigan my whole life. Arkansas is so green and beautiful scenery everywhere. I was so pleasantly surprised!
Waverly, Mike and Lydia and family all worked hard to make our experience a memorable one. The local blue grass band at the campground Sunday night was amazing!
We never left for 3 days and definitely would love love love to come back for a visit in the future!

We camped here during the 2024 eclipse and everyone was so friendly and helpful!! They even had someone round the park making sure everyone was ready for the coming storm and helped us move our grill.
The live band was also a great treat!! The river is beautiful, swimable, and the kids found a rope to swing off into the water; so fun!
Bathrooms were clean, showers were warm. We had a great time!!💚

Great site! Camp hosts were friendly, checked on us consistently, made sure we were taken care of even when we came in late late at night. They had everything we needed, and the sights around were absolutely beautiful.

We absolutely loved staying here. We got to camp riverside, which was a great sound to sleep to. The hosts were absolutely wonderful to us. Very friendly and helpful in helping us find all that we needed during our stay. The bathrooms were clean, and the showers were warm. There is also a basketball court and they had tetherball and a badminton net set up. You can rent Kayaks or Canoes just down the road from Arrowhead. Tons of butterflies and birds flying about too. The river was also the perfect depth for children to swim in without worry of them being taken by any rushing waters or anything right in front of our camp.

I arrived after dark during the last week of the season, so my experience was very different from the camaraderie and festivity I have read about in other reviews, but I could still sense the good vibes and laid back atmosphere. I was traveling alone with my dog and sleeping in my car, and since it was dark I chose to just park by an empty cabin . Waverly came by and was so friendly and welcoming, she even suggested that I use the cabin’s sleeping porch which was wonderful since it was raining in the morning and I had a comfy spot to look out at the river and fix my coffee. Definitely a very positive experience!

Our host was so friendly. Super accommodating. They were there for anything we needed, but still gave us our space and privacy.
The campground was beautiful! Picture perfect…. Serene and not crowded.
Dog Dog the campground dog was a total sweetheart.

Great spot to tent camp on the river. Close to little Missouri falls, wolf gap, hot springs, mt ida—but it’s so pretty you don’t have leave unless you want to. Felt extremely safe as a female traveling alone since it’s close to a road (can’t see it though!), there’s WiFi and cell service, and there was staff on site throughout my weeklong stay. Showers and bathrooms a plus. Waverly, Mike, and co are all amazing, genuine, lovely people. A thousand stars.
