Just when you thought you couldn’t escape the crowds at the bustling Crawford State Park, behold the solitude of the primitive Cherokee Landing Campground. You’ll discover this classic campsite setting in a grass clearing amongst the woods on the southern end of the lake, complete with sound of birds chirping rather than RV batteries charging. At the same time, you don’t have to completely reject civilization in order to camp here. You’ll still be in easy reach of the amenities at the larger campgrounds including boat ramps, a weekend restaurant, and well-marked hiking trails.
