The Natural Getaway

This was a beautiful secluded camp site. Me and my boyfriend couldn’t find it at first, but they hopped in their car and directed us all the way there! When we got to camp it was clean with no garbage anywhere. The forest around was beautiful to hike and they offer horseback riding! It was such a fun and beautiful experience, we definitely will be coming again.

Great spot! You are really tucked away from everything! There are little trails all around the campsite. I'd estimate it's a little under a 1/4 mile walk to your site from your car, so be prepared for that. Will definitely be back!

Amazing place for a big group of people to camp privately in nature! The grill on the fire ring was amazing. Lots of open space for setting up multiple tents and enjoying outdoor activities. No quiet hours, so you can listen to the music while sitting around the campfire for the entire night. Very beautiful!

This place was perfect for what I was looking for. Just the right amount of isolation and space! I would recommend this to anyone.

An excellent spot! Nice and private, and plenty of room to spread out, with a great fire pit and a couple of picnic tables already in place. Bugs were practically nonexistent, though your mileage will likely vary depending on the season.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful if you reach out, and the horseback riding is super worth it. Just be sure to get in touch with them at least a few days in advance to set it up, as it's by appointment only. (Texting their number is more reliable than the Hipcamp messaging)

Tippecanoe River is just a short drive away, as is the beach in Culver. Perfect location to get away for just a couple of hours drive from Chicago. We'll definitely be back!

What a Getaway! It is as described a small hike to the site. You walk down that last hill and all of a sudden an opening in the woods. Very nice space lots of room. Two tables and a fire pit. I forgot to click on the fire bundles when reserving the spot, just have James a quick text and bam! 5 minutes later 3 bundles. The place was quiet and dark enough to see stars and fire flies. No animal visitors during our trip. Lots of shade we went on 85F+ temps and we were fine.

Really amazing camping spot. Really secluded. Hike to the camping spot was pretty easy. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Will definitely be coming back!
