Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Make friends with our black Labrador, Juno. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, 6 goats and several barn cats. If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm.
Activities for kids include helping with farm chores, hiking trails, wading in the creek and swinging on the large platform swing and soaring down the 50 foot hill slide.
Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm!
A stay at the cabin includes the use of a gas grill with side burner and a small under-counter refrigerator. There is also a rock-lined fire pit for cozying up to or making s'mores. You can even buy a s'mores kit to make 6 mouth-watering s'mores.
If you are more adventurous, you can fire-up the brick pizza oven and enjoy pizzas and other roasted delights! We have a pizza kit available for purchase. The kit includes a dough ball for making a 10" pizza, sauce, cheese, sausage, pepperoni and instructions for making great wood-fired pizzas.
If you plan to cook on the grill or burner, you have provided a few basic cooking supplies such as a skillet, a pot, a griddle, various cooking utensils and table settings. The cabin also has a coffee maker and microwave.

This was our third stay with Tim and
Beth and we can’t wait to come back! The setting is welcoming and beautiful. Tim always includes the kids in feeding the alpacas. This is a unique and perfect getaway! Just the right balance of nature and creature comforts!
Family had a blast!
We loved the sunsets, fireflies & of course, alpacas. The pizza Oven CANNOT be missed. So lovely & delicious. It was so fun to sleep in the large upstairs bedroom with our whole family. I was so surprised with a modern & super clean bathroom in an 1850s farmhouse. Our children LOVED all of the animals from cats to goats and everything in between. Ping pong in the barn was a blast. Our stay was a total delight.
This place is wonderful.
The scenery is beautiful and the creek is lovely to wade in.
The stove/grill setup with the mini fridge makes for easy food prep.
The owners are super nice and super responsive.
And.... there are alpacas!
Great place to stay. Kids loved running the farm, feeding the alpacas, playing with the cats and riding the big swing. It was super neat to stay in such an old cabin. Great fire pit with a nice trail to hike in the back.
We had a wonderful stay at the farm! Our 6-year-old daughter loved all the animals (us too), and the pizzas from the wood fired oven were delicious! We had some mixed weather, but we ended with a beautiful clear night where the stars and hooting owls made for a memorable evening. The cabin was cozy and comfortable for all of us, and Kokomo was a short drive for meals out. We hope to return!
Enjoyed the great outdoors!
Our stay at Heritage Farm was simply amazing. The cabin was rustic and comfortable. It was like living in a modern day "Little House on the Prairie". The hosts were gracious and accommodating and welcomed us to help feed the alpacas, collect the chicken eggs, and play with their resident barn cats. It was a nice weekend getaway just roaming the farm and enjoying the great outdoors.
We had such a wonderful experience here! Our hosts were friendly & helpful, and the cabin was beautiful. Our preschoolers were kept busy and happy with all the activities, like walking through the woods and playing in the creek, making campfire s'mores, and of course visiting the alpacas! We had such a relaxing weekend; we can't wait to come back again!
