Myself and my 2 kids rented the cabin for a long weekend and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was so nice and everything we needed was furnished. We enjoyed the hiking trails on the property and how they began right outside our front door. The pond was so much fun. We brought our kayaks and the kids enjoyed swimming. Debbie was a wonderful host and they made sure we had everything we needed and feel welcomed. The kids loved being able to see the animals and picking vegetables from the greenhouse to have with dinner. Debbie gave us some homemade bread and cookies that were delicious. We will definitely be coming back again.

This is such a great place to go to unplug without actually "roughing it". You still get amenities like bathroom, stove, refrigerator,
dishwasher and of course air conditioning! Sorry not sorry no TV. Debbie and Matt were absolutely the best hosts so friendly and accommodating! They made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They even cleaned the cabin early so we could check in early. They also let us know a campsite opened up that we could use to fish from because they knew my grandson was anxious to do more fishing. He loved fishing from the boat! All the grandkids loved seeing and petting the horses...and Bubbles too! We picked veggies from the greenhouse for dinner and bought some delicious cookies and hamburger from the farm! Oh and the lemonade popsicles were awesome! It was so relaxing to unplug from everything for awhile! We highly recommend this cabin and can't wait to come back!! Thanks again Debbie and Matt

It was great staying here. Owners were very nice and accommodating. Got delicious fresh biscuits as we arrived, and we were able to pick some veggies from their greenhouse. There was hardly any cell phone service out there and no internet for those that care. There was also no TV (again totally ok with me), and no microwave. The microwave was the only thing that really would have been nice to have. Other than that, they provided cooking pans, utensils, basic spices, etc. It was furnished very well. Do make sure you bring some mosquito repellent. It's right up next to the woods, and they can be pretty bad.
It was a great trip!

Amazing cottage and super amazing hosts! Matt and Deb was super awesome and help us, as a first time camper with all the important details - cottage, camping, boating, fire 🔥, and what not. We went as four families (9 adults and 6 kids) and everyone had amazing time! We are certainly looking to go back again!!! Super thanks to Deb and Matt!

This is a magical and idyllic spot in Southern Il, Debbie and Matt are kind, gracious hosts who share information, history and general nature knowledge in such a warm loving way. It is evident that they have a real passion for passing on an appreciation for the pursuits of organic farming. Everything tastes so yummy from Debbie’s homemade biscuits and cookies she gifted us with. Debbie and Matt you made out daughter’s birthday weekend wonderful. We love picking cucumbers for our dinner salad at the cottage and the cottage was so charming! Great nights of sleeping and wonderful meals were prepared easily with the dishes, utensils so handy and a well stocked pots and pans. You made out time in the woods so worthwhile and I feel that we will be returning so and get in some relaxation and follow the path to the fishing hole!!

We had a fabulous stay at the cottage. We brought our 5 kids and there was plenty of room for all 7 of us. We didn’t need to bring any cooking items because the cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved exploring the woods and the creek outside of the cottage. The walk to the pond was super quick and easy but since we brought our own water equipment we drove which was a simple drive as well. We spend 2 full days on the pond paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and swimming. We decided at the last minute to stay an extra night so it was awesome that the host had items we could purchase at their mini deli. It was the perfect Fourth of July weekend and we will definitely be back for more adventures!
