This 14-foot yurt is a short walk of about 50 yards from the guest parking. You will pass our 30-ft family yurt going to your own private space. The property has a great remote feeling and has space to move around. There is a queen custom futon bed and room for a child or two on the floor if desired. There is a small gravity feed water system for the yurt and your own private outhouse. Plenty of wood for you to stay warm by the fire and an outdoor bathtub and shower shared by our family. The kitchen comes with pots and pans, plates, etc. and a few extras. You will hear the sounds of nature and North Idaho at times out in your yurt as trains pass through the valley to Canada. We are 1.5 miles away from the tracks. If you are into being independent and open to new experiences then we would love to share our space with you.
Please park in just past the garage on the cedar path by the cluster of trees. Recommended for you to bring a headlamp and outdoor slippers to walk to the outhouse or shower during your stay. We have towels and two robes at the yurt for your use. We can provide a Therm-a-rest bed for your child if needed.

The setting was so relaxing, private, quiet, and peaceful. The yurt was very comfortable and well-appointed. Monica gave us ideas of places where we could put in our kayaks. It was a perfect retreat. Thanks so much.
Already planning our return trip...
Absolutely loved the yurt! Very comfortable and so relaxing! Easy to reach all of the great activities around the Sandpoint area, but offers a lot of privacy -- a beautiful spot nestled in the woods. Great hosts, too. Exceeded our expectations.
So unique and sweet! I felt safe and also primitive. The family who built this is sweet, comforting and gracious. Their dog Zelda is the cutest mix of guard dog and welcome committee. Anyways, I’d recommend this to anyone. Home away from home, Truly!
Lovely yurt experience
Todd’s yurt in the woods was wonderful! We had a lovely stay, just wished we had more time there and will be back another time. We were there during a recent wind storm, so when the power went out for a bit Monica went the extra step to bring us emergency candles for light. Great hospitality, but also a very independent and quiet stay. We also LOVE the fact that they are dog friendly. Be sure to take advantage of the outdoor shower - such a neat experience!
We absolutely loved staying in Todd’s cozy yurt! It was so perfect for myself, my husband, and our one year old daughter. We loved walking the trails around the property and had a great fire at night. Highly recommend!!!
