***** 5 stars!
We loved our stay at Sawtooth Soul. Gorgeous location, walking distance to hot springs and star gazing.
We had a bit of a hiccup with getting the electric hooked up. However, big props too Anne, she had someone out the next morning to fix it. Thank you for taking great care of us!
Tucked off the hwy, close to boise.
Loved being able to have a spot already reserved on a busy weekend. The river was low and down a ravine but accessible. The highway was quite close but is higher than the campsite so that helps with the noise. We saw a couple otters on 2 of the days we were there and it was such a treat to see them play along the river. I was a little disappointed when the owners came and shared the area with us on our last night. Not a huge deal but their cabin/shed light was shining on us and we couldn't ride our ATV's all over for fear of being in their space. We could also hear their music which was a little disappointing when we were told we would get the space to ourselves. We were really looking forward to privacy after a not so great experience at Ponderosa State park earlier in the year. Overall, great place to stop right off the highway and close to Boise. Loved having Kirkham hot springs and ATV trail right down the road as well.
Great for smaller vehicles
Access to this site was a bit tough for a 32’ Class C RV. Tho possible, there was a lot of scraping on the pine trees. We had kids with us and there is quite a bit of a dangerous drop off right by the site. These are probably the primary shortcomings of the site, though.
Electricity is somewhat far away depending on where you decide to set up, so you may want an extension cord. Water turn on is very far but the hose is run a good distance down so you can access it at the site easily enough (be sure to open the connection at the Y splitter too!).
Anne the host was great with communication and directions, and the Haven Motel staff were super friendly although they weren’t open during our time there.
Lovely river view spot.
Super nice, private spot with river access. Clean toilet, well water, electrical outlet. It's right off the road so there is traffic noise, but we weren't too bothered by it. Only thing I would add is a picnic table!
