Description

A far cry from a fraternity house, Phi Kappa Campground is set amongst the rugged peaks of the Pioneer Mountains in Idaho’s Challis National Forest. Pitch your tent, or rig up the trailer at one of the nicely wooded campsites and head for the adjacent Big Lost River. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the jaw-dropping Devil’s Bedstead peak jutting out through the valley. Don’t forget to pack some thermal undies, because this spot gets chilly at night (even in the summer), thanks to its location at 7,450 feet.
