Venture a little ways upriver from the Flat Rock Campground into the Flat Rock Extension Campground for a tad more privacy and shade. This small campground is a favorite for its primo location, and although it doesn’t have many amenities, you can always stroll down to the larger Flat Rock Campground to get what you need. Located across the road from the Yankee Fork of the Salmon River, it’s easy to kick back and enjoy the crystal-clear water, and the beauty of the forest.
