Camp in a grassy valley next to a bubbling creek and steep forested mountains. This skinny meadow is quite long but not wide, sitting next to a gravel road that was once the Sunset Branch railroad that serviced local mines. The train used to stop here back in the early 1900s but there’s little left to show it except the memories of a bygone day.

You’ll have a steep forest on one side and creek on the other. On the other side of the creek is a road that’s not busy and trees line the creek blocking the view of the road for privacy, but you’ll still hear cars going by. Picnic table, stone firepit, and a couple wooden camp chairs provided. Very private spot! Keep an eye out for wildlife including elk and deer.

This campsite is at the end of our property so though the gravel road leads back to Wallace it goes through other private land and can’t be used - meaning you’ll have to back out of your camping spot and backtrack to leave (May be a challenge for longer RVs/trailers). Also very long RVs/trailers may have difficulty turning onto the bridge to the site.

Located close to Wallace with all of the town’s fun shops, bars, restaurants, and tourist activities easily accessible. It’s an easy bike ride (or long-ish walk) to town and especially the City Limits brewpub. Or bring your UTVs and head the other way for hundreds of miles of gorgeous trails to ride. Or bring a kayak or tubes to float the river, about a half hour away.

No services provided, including no bathrooms, but you can pay to use the shower house at the RV park just down the road.

Located near highway 90 and very easy to reach for those looking for a place to crash on a road trip. ** PLEASE NOTE: This site may not be accessible during winter months; check with us first for snow conditions between November and March/April.**

It was clean and private. Nice chairs, table, fire pit. Close to town. Easy to find. Not especially interesting but Wallace was and that’s were we spent our time. Also close to great biking spots.

The camp spot was great for our overnight trip. The instructions made it easy to find and the spot is so close to town. It is also far away enough that you won’t hear the highway at night. We will stay here again during our next stop in Wallace!

Nice quiet spot. We have a 24’ trailer (27’ overall,) a little tight to turnaround. Pull in/back out or visa versa recommended.

This site is just what it says it is. The road is really close, and though it was traveled it was very lightly traveled on a Thursday night. Flat spot, private despite the proximity of the road. And the brook whooshed all night.

This was an awesome little spot to camp. Near enough to the freeway to be easily accessible on a road trip, but it also had a feeling of privacy, as there is not much traffic on the road across the creek. Would definitely stay here again, and the little town of Wallace had a lot of fun looking spots I'd like to come back and check out.

Potential bears in the area, so prepare your stay as necessary, & bring water purifier if you want some fresh, running creek water to drink.

At first sight we were disappointed it wasn't more in the country. Although alongside a highway, there is minimal traffic. The creek is great for playing in with kids, and it's quiet at night. Less than a mile off I-90, so easy access if passing thru Northern Idaho and just down the road from downtown Wallace, which has some cool touristy things like the Sierra Mine Tour.
