Description

How does a sweet view of the South Fork canyon country all around your tent sound? If you’re answer is something along the lines of “awesome,” head to Shiefer Campground in the Payette National Forest. The undeveloped campground sits on the banks of the Salmon River with trail access to the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and Pilot Peak lookout. Sweet hiking, solid fishing, and more make this place a pretty wonderful wilderness escape.
