Description

After a hike up No Business Mountain, you can cool off in the sprawling beauty of Lake Cascade at Boise National Forest’s Amanita Campground. Your site will be right on the northern tributaries of this gorgeous body of water, and all ten sites here are shaded by conifer forests towering above. Bald eagles and pelicans fly overhead, songbirds wake you up gently in the mornings, and wildflowers surround you at the right time of year. The lake is great for windsurfing or sailing, and campers here can use the boat ramp at nearby Rainbow Point Campground. Some sites have lakeviews and shoreline access, so get there early to snag your perfect spot. Be sure to check out the nearby town of Donnelly during your stay, we hear they make a mean slice of wild huckleberry pie!
