Enjoy your stay in a lovely studio cabin or "coffee-shack" as the locals call it, situated on the lava slopes of a 5-acre exotic fruit farm in South Kona. The Cabin includes a king-sized bed and two twin day beds fitted with cotton sheets. There is a lovely outdoor kitchen, equipped with a gas range and a small refrigerator that overlooks the lush green jungle. The cabin also has an outdoor bathroom and shower with hot water. We collect rainfall as our water source, so we encourage visitors to be water conscious and we also provide reverse osmosis water for drinking. Enjoy your morning cup of Kona Coffee while you sit on the lanai overlooking white pineapples and spicy peppers plants growing just off the porch. The stay will include a cacophony of fun sounds ranging from rooster crows in the  A.M. to coqui frogs calls as night falls. We recommend visitors rent a car with high clearance or 4x4 as our driveway is paved, yet a bit rough, a common phenomenon for Hawaiian roads which lead to hidden gems. The farm is 5 minutes away from a lava pebble beach with incredible snorkeling and 10 minutes away from a sandy beach with tree shade cover, picnic tables, and frequent dolphin sightings. And upon arrival, we will share the locals-only beaches that are also very close.  The closest convenience store is 10 mins away, the supermarket is 20 mins away, and we are about an hour from the KOA airport. Come and enjoy, you won't be disappointed!

This place is the best! Morgan and Emily were amazingly kind, helpful, generous hosts and the land and cabin are a dream. This is the perfect place to enjoy the big island and experience the beauty and abundance of the land. I hope I get to come back someday!

THE COOLEST PLACE EVER!
I seriously have nothing but great things to say about The Spicy Pineapple and Morgan (the host).
For starters, the host Morgan is so kind and just an enjoyable person to chit chat with. If I lived on the Big Island, I definitely would try to friend her! Lol.
The little cabin was roomy, CLEAN, adorable, and just overall super comfortable. It was such a neat experience. That shower outside was probably my favorite part.
If we make our way back to the big island, I will definitely rebook here for sure!

The only thing that was kinda unfortunate for us is that we rented a little Nissan Versa so we had to park at the bottom of the drive way and we think it would’ve just been super cool to have had a 4x4 to drive up the drive way but when I say parking at the bottom was hardly even an inconvenience. Its not a far walk at all. We just think it would’ve been fun having a 4x4 on their driveway.

I would recommend this place to any of my family and friends!

Everything about The Spicy Pineapple Palace was absolutely perfect! It was such a dreamy ending to our trip. We spent our final three nights there. It’s close to lots of beautiful and less populated beaches, there are frogs that put you to sleep at night, Morgan is super awesome, and it’s a chance to have a more remote feeling trip while still having a comfortable bed and shower! I will stay here every time I head back to Hawaii!

The Spicy Pineapple Palace is a MUST STAY. We got in just after sunset and Morgan gave us the biggest welcome, so cheerful and we immediately felt right at home. This place has everything, with a full kitchen, extremely comfy bed, full bathroom with hot water, and the perfect temperature (we went in June).

It’s located right outside of a cute little town south of Kona, with really good food and coffee shops and coffee tours. You’re right in the middle of the best snorkeling spots and hikes.

There’s ducks, chickens, cows, pigs, and roosters on the farm, as well as tons of tropical fruit. We could have spent the whole weekend just wondering the farm!

Seriously an amazing place to stay while you’re exploring what the big island has to offer, thank you Morgan!!

We cannot say enough good things about The Spicy Pineapple and Morgan as a host. It was such a lovely place to be immersed in Hawaii. We loved the plants, animals and outdoor noises. The outdoor kitchen and bathroom were magical! We're also such a big fan of her boho decor and thoughtful touches. You have everything you could ever need here, a nature lover's escape! Additionally Morgan was a wonderful host and gave us a google doc for the area :) A truly unique and restorative experience we'll never forget.

Morgan and Nathan's spicy pineapple palace is a beautiful rainforest hideaway that everyone must experience. Let's start with the actual amenities themselves:

There is so much to see on this five acre paradise on the side of a VOLCANO. Morgan provided us with fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice at the beginning of our stay. The house is a cute, rustic, cabin that has everything you need from an outdoor kitchen, Lanai to hang out in on down time, to an outdoor bathroom and shower where you can listen to the sounds of nature while you wash off the island grime after a days worth of activities. As far as sleeping goes: we slept AMAZING!!! The bed was a king and was incredibly comfortable.

Morgan and Nathan are great hosts and have a lot of knowledge about the area. There is a beach nearby which is fantastic for watching the sunset and having a picnic. If you're lucky you can see fish and dolphins jumping in the waves here. The captain cook hike is nearby and is a must for hiking and snorkeling! The coffee shack is a great place for brunch as well and is very close!

If you're looking for an amazing vacation that is away from the hustle and bustle of the more populated islands and cities look no further than Morgan and Nathans spicy pineapple palace. This place exceeded all of our expectations. There is no where else in the world that you'll receive a more authentic Hawaiian and peaceful experience.

Mahalo!
