Description

One of two car accessible campgrounds in the park, Kipahulu Campground sits on a grassy area just above the ocean. It’s located on the east side of the island, accessible via the famous Road to Hana, and is a favorite among the locals for its warm breezes and sounds of crashing waves that make it all the way to the campsites. Camp is only a short walk to choice destinations like Oheo Gulch and Seven Sacred Pools. Drinking water is available at the Kipahulu Visitor Center restrooms and two general store in Hāna (10 miles away) will get you basic supplies. Your best bet is to come prepared for rain, intense sun, mosquitoes, and jaw-dropping beauty!
