We bought this property after living in Orlando for nearly a decade. My husband and I had our first son last year and when we found out we are expecting our second, we decided to make the move to a smaller town. We wanted a peaceful, private piece of land and we found it here! As soon as we toured it we fell in love with the stream and beautiful rock formations in the back! We don't hear or see any other people unless we leave the property and we love it!

Hidden Mountain Stream
My husband and I brought our 2 young kids and 2 big dogs and this location was perfect for us! The views were beautiful and it’s a short drive to Cloudland Canyon State Park. It rained the whole trip and the tent kept us dry and warm! I suggest packing pretty light because the walk to the camp is downhill and the walk back is uphill. I learned my lesson about overpacking. We hope to visit again in the future!

Sunset Ridge
A Stunning Tent Camping Location
This was our first time tent camping and Sunset Ridge was perfect. We stayed during the 1st week of November, and the views of the fall colors were stunning. We experience both foggy mountain mornings and sunny clear days. The site is a perfect distance from the main house and situated on the sloping mountain side. It was quiet and private with a short hiking trail leading to a small, rocky waterfall and stream. The hosts were so gracious and patient with us! As a first time camper, I had a number of questions for Amanda regarding the portable toilet & toilet tent as well as a few other camping basics. She explained things thoroughly and was readily available to assist with anything else we asked. They even cleaned up the fall leaves from the trail so that we could easily find the site. They also had signs posted along the trail that made it easy to find. The tent platform was perfect and level enough that we didn’t roll or slide during the night. Although we came right after a good rain, we didn’t have any issues with water streaming through the site area or puddling up on the tent platform. It was a little muddy on one side of the fire pit, but that’s all due to the time of year we came. We had a 4 person dome tent that just fit on the platform and had a great view of the campfire and mountainside beyond. It’s minutes from Cloudland Canyon State Park (which has amazing hiking) and not far from Chattanooga. We loved our experience here and 10/10 would recommend! We’re saving the spot to visit again during warmer seasons.

Sunset Ridge
Secluded and peaceful
The campsite is private and quiet without a whisper of traffic noise. It's absolutely worth the drive down the gravel and dirt road and 5 minute walk down the hillside from the parking area if you are looking for peace and quiet. You can hear the creek from the site, too, which is a bit further down the trail. You are in the woods, completely covered by tree canopy. There is one tent pad large enough for a 6 person tent or two 2-3 person backpacking tents. The terrain is sloped and finding another location suitable for a small backpacking tent was challenging but not impossible. Our host, Amanda, was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. She really was a joy to speak with. If you have any questions or issues, you'll get a quick answer. Don't let the No Trspassing signs bother you. The GPS and Amanda's directions are accurate. You're in the right place. This is not a fancy, professionally-built State Park style walk-in tent site with paved sidewalks and a bathhouse nearby. Don't expect it. It is, however, a great little spot in the woods you'll have all to yourself to pitch a tent, build a fire, listen to the creek and the birds and relax. It's also only a 13 minute drive to Cloudland Canyon State Park,
