Sunset Rock is just one of a kind. Beautiful spot on top of a mountain overlooking Alabama, Tennessee, & Georgia. Not only is it beautiful and well maintained, Jim is a superb host. He called me the night before to check in and give me some pointers on getting there and made sure I had exact directions on getting up the mountain. He also called me after I arrived to tell me the history of the area and make sure I was ok. My only regret is I only stayed the night as I was passing through. I will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future!

It was literally magical. The view, accommodations, cleanliness, friendly. What more can you ask for. And the view was the best part. Will stay there again for years to come.

Sunset Rock is awesome! The view is superb- even if there’s a cloud cover over the valley it’s cool! The hookups are convenient & the grounds immaculate! I can’t think of any negatives! Had nice picnic tables- great fire pit options . Met Jim, the host, who had great communications before & during our stay- very friendly & accommodating! Would definitely stay again if in the area!

One of the best views I have ever had from an rv camp spot. Property is very well maintained and outfitted. Private, but close enough to activities and restaurants. Already planning another trip back, just to have a whole day to sit and enjoy the view.

Jim and Judy are amazing. They are so kind and helpful. My husband and I went for our anniversary weekend. The view is one of the best views I've ever seen and this spot is very secluded. It was more than I expected.

Imagine parking your rig on the rim of legendary Lookout Mountain, located in NW Alabama. Every morning, a blanket of clouds can be seen below your site, and in the evenings an incredible sunset. James, the owner can tell you the history of the surrounding area, as well as where to site see. He and his wife Judy have built a fantastic home, garden and campsite. If you're looking for a unique, private site with electric, water and a beautiful pavilion where you can look down upon the Appalachian Mountains in three states, this is the place for you. Our favorite place so far!
